We are looking to renew our annual pass with my grandparents military discount. We can't seem to find it anywhere online and calling Disney they can't give us that information. Does anyone know how much the military annual pass renewal rate is?

We are a military family and buy our APs through Shades of Green at WDW. I have never heard of a "military annual pass".

For us, rather than renewing our AP at the traditional renewal rate (I have also never heard of an military rate for renewal)................we let a little time pass and get a brand new pass at the discounted rate. This allows us to lower our annual cost over a multiyear period of use.

Remember.............if you buy any tickets on base or at SOG there is no sales tax and that in itself gives you even more savings.

Are you your grandparents' DOD dependents? If not, purchasing an AP from Shades (the only way to receive the $15 AP discount + tax savings) will not be an option for you, as you will be unable to activate it at the ticket window without a DOD ID card.

Military discounts are meant for servicemembers, their dependents, and those traveling directly with them.

We were hoping they have a renewal rate under military. Now has anyone tried to trade park tickets to get a discount from the military rate of the annual pass? Yes he is DOD and he is buying the tickets and will be there with us. He has bought special event tickets with us under the military discount.

I am not 100% sure what you are asking but I Googled "Military Disney Annual Pass" and pulled up this SoG page:

SHADES MILITARY TICKET PRICES

I am also not sure I understand your second question but when we got our military AP years ago, I was told that Disney could not sell them at the discount rate at the parks because it was a promotion run through the military ITT offices/Shades of Green - they had to be purchased from a military ticket office. Admittedly, that was a few years ago, so I am not sure how things are now of if that was even true - we went ahead and bought from our local ITT and activated at WDW when we went for first visit on the pass.

Thank you for the help everyone. The only reason I asked the second question was cause I know that with the regular annual pass we were able to take out two days passes and trade up. I have also been told that you can do the same with the military discounted annual pass. But maybe they were wrong.

We have a Florida Resident Annual Pass, but when we inquired at the ITR at Fort Rucker, they told us that the only difference in price between an AP and a military rate AP is that when you buy it through the ITR, they do not charge tax. They did not have any other kind of special pricing on APs. Hope this helps!
