Hi!
We are already booked for a trip to WDW this May but we just recently decided we wanted to go again later in the year. As DD starts school in Sept, it has to be August (ouch)

Unfortunately the return date i wanted (31 Aug) is not available on Miles plus Money. I am sure i saw it a week or so ago :sad1: Do they release more Miles plus Money or is that it now? I could go earlier (10-24 Aug) but are the crowds bigger earlier in Aug? Plus it is our anniversary on 29 Aug and as we married at Disney's wedding pavilion I hoped to be there then.

Any tips on where else to get a reasonable flight for late Aug? I know we left it late, next year we will decide on our dates sooner. Also will more Miles plus Money flights be released?

Thanks,
Mandy

I would keep checking the website or even call the Flying Club as the M+M prices and availability changes all the time :)

I noticed a few changes for August too and I'm scared its because their flights are filling up. Everything I've heard tells me that late August is better than early August but I was there last year from the 2nd to 8th and didn't find it overcrowded at all, free dining will also be a factor and if they do release it to the masses then the crowds are going to swell at the end of August. Sorry there is not a better answer to this one.
I hope for you and me they release more but we'll have to keep an eye on it;)

Claire - we have been in late August quite a few times and last year the crowds behaved differently (due to free DDP?)

It seemed much quieter than usual in the beginning of August (according to friends who were out there then) but it was very much busier from 13th August to around 28th than we are accustomed to. So don't write off the beginning of August as being too busy -it may not be as bad as you think :thumbsup2

we are going for this exact same reason,(21st july-10th aug) the crowds were very low at the beginning of august and then very busy from the 12/13th august last year. and we have been a few times before on the last 2 wks of august but won't be doing it again, because of the crowds due to the free ddp.

Miles + money won't be that much cheaper than a normal fare in August I'm afraid.

Virgin will release some more, if the normal sales go slow. I kept a watch for this year and for August, the miles + money was only 30.00 cheaper per person. Ouchhhh.

Dare I say it, what about one of the charters? You may get a better price for a flight and do the rest yourself.

I just checked 17th-31st Aug for 2ad+2ch (dont know your family size) M+M is available and for this family example it would be £1,826 instead of £2,500 without the points, so a fair saving of £674 not as good as other times of year but I doubt it will get any better.
We have booked 2nd-27th Aug same dates as this year at £533+2000 points each. We found crowds were pretty much the same all August
hmm just had a thought, checked your location and you will want London sorry, not available at the moment but just check every day(or drive upto Manchester). I checked every day from them releasing our dates in Sept and they did not release the returm date until Xmas day.
