Mile 27...home after the race

I have been trying to read the maps and look through this site and others for info. I think I have most of my questions figured out, but need help with one more.

After the marathon is done, you go through the little family area and such.

If I need to get to a taxi to get back to my hotel, any suggestions where to go. To the front of Epcot? Is it easy to get there from the finish?

Just hop a bus to a resort and get a taxi there?

Thanks for any help on another rookie question.

See you all in a week. Kinda a newbie here, so I don't have a cool green shirt (yet), but will try to find a bandana that color so I can have a little WISH in my run!

Don't remember but you are not alone. I am sure there are plenty of taxi's around. If not at the race then at the entrance to EPCOT.

Depends on when you finish, I can give you a ride back as my wife drives over to watch me at the finish. Not a problem (she's driving)

I am assuming you are staying off property? There will be cabs, but I don't remember seeing them near the finish area, probably have to go back to the front of the park, or hitch a ride with someone or take a bus back to one of the closer resorts and then get a cab. I would say if you have to get a cab, get one from EPCOT. Its not too far from the finish area.

Nice to have you on board. Look for the lime green/safety yellow WISH shirts!! Come by and say "hi".

If you carry your cell, get the cabbie's number that morning. Tell him about when you will need him and that you will call. He will get to the same place he dropped you, assuming you decide to taxi to the parking lot. That would be the chief reason for coming to the parking lot and not a resort.

Otherwise, the front of the parking lot has a cab stand. if one is not present, there is a person who can hail one in the bus info booth just past the Disney busses.

For those who don't know.. there are busses that will take you back to your hotel if you are staying On Property.... Just an FYI for the newbies

Sorry if I confused anyone with my questions. I should have stated that I am staying offsite.

Thank you as always for the help and answers. I am sure once I get there on Wednesday and see things, it will all make logical sense.

Aw, I missed seeing you there. Stop by the Pop Century meet if you get a chance, 4:30 Friday. There will be good folks there. Monday morning you can find many on the Boardwalk near Boardwalk Bakery. Wear your bling!

I missed seeing you too as my green was buried under multi layers because of the cold
