MIL was just told she has Cancer

My dear MIL, who will be 78 was just told she has cancer. we are busy now taking her for all kinds of test, etc. to make sure just what type she has and for what type of treatment. MIL just had to have a pace maker put in back in November. I feel so very bad for her as we are close. She is such a sweet lady and a wonderful MIL. Please keep us in your prayer's. I am not sure if I will be able to handle this one.

Yes you will - it won't be easy but she needs you and I'm sure you will rise to the challenge. My DH had brain surgery 8 years ago and at one point I thought I was going to lose him. My DS was only 2 at the time and I didn't have a supportive family behind me. Like you, I wasn't sure I could handle it. But I did. And so will you. Its amazing what inner strength you find at times like these. I'm sorry that your MIL and your family has to go through this but if you all pull together, you will find you all have a strength you didn't know you possessed.

Keep strong. Someone once told me that God does not give you burdens he doesn't think you can carry. Just remember that.

It sounds as though you're very close with her. I'm sorry to hear this. Hopefully they can treat her successfully. Prayers for all of you.
