Mil Discount ?, non avail at resort?

I have reservations as FW. When I called there were no Mil Disc. cabin rates available at the time. I did get some pixie dust and got a small discount. I was told I could call and check to see if there were some cancellations. So I did, and this CM said that once they cancel ,the reservations go back into a pool and are not tagged for Mil Disc anymore. Does anyone know if this is true? It would save be another $300. (BTW, I am grateful for the Discount I got.)

Can't answer your question, but for some reason I was reading Mil as mother in law, instead of Military. I was trying to figure out why WDW would give discounts for bringing your mother in law along.
