let her be herself. After a life threatening experience, ones outlook does change on life. It takes time for memories and wounds to heal and everyone does this at their own pace and way. I'm not a flyer either, have done is years ago just to please our grown kids a couple of times but now we're Amtrak travelers, not the fastest way but for my nerves and liking, the smoothest, wife and I do the train and the kids fly and meet us there. We're looking on maybe getting my rear up in the air again but we'll see. From our own experiences, we're late 50-ish, I feel a burden anymore dragging my old **** around the parks holding up the younger people but daughter and son in law never complain and basically go at our pace, we stay 9-12 nights, stay deluxe and see and do it all, not commando anymore but a nice leisurely pace with noon time breaks at the resort pool, more to their liking, and hardly have late late night park sessions. We prefer, all of us, to see a park to our extent, return to resort and hit the pool with some cocktails and snacks and either bob in the pool, late night and gab or sit at a beach table and chew the fat. When we get old, we try not to be a burden to the younger set. Our minds say we're young but our bodies don't respond the same way. When my mother used to go to WDW with us, she's now 85 and not able to do it, we paced ourselves around her staminia and let her stay back at the resort when she didn't feel up to a park walk, she enjoyed the resort and always did dinner and breakfasts with us and felt a aprt when we reminenced around the pool, always thankful for the years she attended WDW with us, My dad and mom started me and my family on this mouse addiction back in 1977, through his work and the Magic Kingdom Club we're done over 38 visits, had our daughter do the college program for 6 months, come home and graduate college and return to Florida and give WDW another year of employment to return to her home state, get married and now we all vacation together to the happiest place on earth. Memories built over these years can never be taken from us.
