Mike, this is all your fault!

I'm posting here becuase of the ADR discussion. That really doesn't bother me. With the kids we go to pretty simple place.

But.... I found out today El Pirata y El Perico doesn't serve tacos and taco salads anymore. From the menu posted on Mousesavers they're going to be serving Cheesburgers and Pork Sandwiches. Why don't they just set up a burger joint every few feet and close everything else down?
(Okay I realize there are way more important things but I'm bummed)

Right now, the menu at El Pirata y El Perico is altered because Pecos Bill's was under rehab until mid February, so they were trying to feed the masses the more "normal" offerings from that location. It is assumed that El Pirata y El Perico will return to tacos and other Mexican inspired creations since Pecos Bill's has returned to action.

Phewww
thank you. I feel better now. I guess we'll forced to go again when it is open.:goodvibes
Oh wait a minute, does that mean it's possible it will be open end of April....

I'm just now gettin' caught up here in the G&L (yes, I spend tooooo much time on the CB) and wanted to tell y'all that I made ADRs at the 90 day mark and got what I wanted. AND when I called back at 55 days to add some more, got them too. I can't imagine doin' ADRs at 180 days, my gawd, I'd change my mind too many times. :lmao:

The only problem I had was a late reservation for Le Cellier, but I got it.

And YES, this trip is ALL about the food. :lmao:

So funny how we all have different taste.
One day last summer it was POURING rain, so we ducked into El Pirato to see about lunch. Nothing on the menu that DS or I would eat, so we had to make the mad dash through the rain to Pecos Bill's. :rotfl: For me, that's a big deal. I HATE to be rained on. Absolutely HATE it. But I am also a very picky eater, so getting rained on seemed better than eating tacos. ;)

Um . . . for future reference . . . you can walk from El Pirato to Pecos Bill's indoors the entire way. They share seating areas. No need to get wet . . .

Not that knowing it now, helps you back then . . . :rolleyes1

OMG, you didn't know about the interior walkway between the two? Since we usually go in the off season when there is no service back there, we grab grub at Pecos and then go up that walkway and sit outside, usually alone in the outdoor seating that they have. It's one of our secret quiet spots that we enjoy.

Sorry that you got wet. I used to be like that about the rain, until I met Corey and got soaked trying to keep her dry when she was recovering from pneumonia. She and her sister had come up to GA for Lilith Fair back when we were long distance dating still. Corey was still coughing from her second relapse of pneumonia, but was determined to see the concert. Our seats were on the edge of the roofline at the outdoor venue. I had her stand in front of me and my entire backside was soaked because I was attempting to shield her from the rain. Before that day, I would have never willingly gotten rained on. Ever since, it's just a reminder of how much love can change a person.

We tried that. Maybe they configure it funny during different seasons? I know we TRIED to go through on the inside, but we couldn't because it was roped off or something. There was one door coming OUT of Pecos Bill's that had a CM guarding it so you could ONLY go out that way. The whole thing was confusing. We basically had to circle almost all the way back around Pecos Bill's to get to the entrance.

We finally got in Bill's, got our food, and there was a CM guarding the tables. You couldn't sit down without food, and you couldn't sit at a table larger than your party size. He told us to MOVE from the round table and go sit at a square one because there were only 3 of us. We had way too much STUFF to fit at the square one, and it was on the aisle so people kept bumping into our chairs. NOT my favorite experience!
