Hi Mike!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi!

Hope you are having a wonderful Friday!

Keep up the great work

Thanks Chris, Jamie (twice!) and Tracy!!!
I am doing well!! Kind of pulled away from the computer and office yesterday to de-stress from the busy-ness of the past two weeks. I plan to get caught up on everyone's journals this weekend!

Tonight we are celebrating my nephew's b-day before my whole family, except for me, leaves for Disney!!! Well orlando, with a day or two of Disney mixed in! hehe We are going to a Japanese steakhouse here very reminicient of Teppanyaki in Epcot. I also bought the Cinderella DVD yesterday at Target which comes with a Cinderella's slipper necklace, so I am going to give the necklace to my 4 year old niece at dinner tonight for her visit to the princesses.

I am doing pretty good otherwise. Eating is on track, been exercising a fair amount, still am not sure if I will be able to actually do all the walking in December for my trip so we will see! I think I may get one or two good days and then have a bad one, in which case I can always grab a park ECV in the morning if my back is that bad. But my hopes are high that I won't need it!! So keep your fingers crossing for me! I was definitely hurting Wednesday after standing and presenting for four straight hours! hehe

Hope that everyone is doing well!!!
Go Red Team!

Hi, Mike! Wow! I hadn't realized that I'd come here to read but hadn't posted. Sorry about that. I definitely do not want to lurk in journals when there is so much to be celebrated and praised and so many opportunities to encourage! :sunny:

You are doing an amazing job, buddy. I think of you so frequently and all you have accomplished. I hope your family recognizes when they see you tonight that you are a healthier you than ever. You should be so proud of yourself. I love reading your antics in the blue and red team threads. You should come join the October Exercise Challenge and credit yourself for all the exercising you have done so far. Heck -- 4 hours on your feet "presenting" HAS to count for something! ;)

I hope you have fun tonight -- it is so sweet of you to think of your niece and how much she will love having that necklace to look all sparkly when she sees the princesses! What did you pick for your nephew's birthday present?

Have a great weekend!

I'm so JEALOUS!! That is my most favorite gift in the world!!! Most girls would want jewelry, but I want Disney Dollars (I can buy my own sparklies, thank-you-very-much! at World of Disney!!!)

Good job, Unca' Mike!!! :teeth:

Thanks Cam!

Hi all!

-Having a weird day just due to some family stuff. Not ready to type about it yet. Just has me out of sorts so I am focusing on other things...

... so speaking of other things, I had a thought today... I won't be leaving the Disney area on my last day until late afternoon. Should I add another park day so I can either visit Animal Kingdom or catch up on any rides I missed elsewhere? I think it would be like $14 to add another day and I figure I could hit a park at opening and then head back to Pop at like noon or so, grab lunch there and then have plenty of time before my ME departs. I love Tarzan Rocks and I am kinda upset about it leaving, so I figure this is the way I could see it one more time, plus ride Dinosaur and Primevil Whirl. Thoughts? Anyone?

Hope everyone is having a good one. I think I am finally caught up on journals. And I just discovered that ABC is repeating Lost & Invasion tonight, which I missed Wednesday, so that brings me cheer. I have a sweet potato roasting in the over and I am making grilled chicken & my green beans to go with it. May have a splenda sweetened fudgsicle to go with it all too. We'll see! :)

Hey, Mike!

Sorry to hear about your family drama. We're here if/when you feel like talking. In the meantime, :grouphug: .

I hope you have fun and relaxing night. What's Logan got planned? :teeth:

$14 sure sounds like a small price to pay for another park day. I think AK sounds like a great idea--you're right about getting another Tarzan Rocks in before it is no more. You might be a little tired by that last day (not implying anything, I just know by day 3 or 4 the ole feet start to hurt) but you can take it as slow as you want. AK is a great park to stop and savor, you know what I mean?

Have a wonderful night!

Hi, Mike! Sorry your family is bringing you drama. Whose doesn't, right? Gotta love them, though, right? Yeah, it says so in the Bible, I think. ;) Really, though, kiddo, don't let anyone bring you down and don't do like I used to do and turn to food for comfort. Just from what I know of you here, you are such an amazing, warm, funny, selfless person, and if anyone tells you different, tell them you have a whole bunch of big, strong friends who are dying to bring them down!

I think $14 is an incredibly reasonable price for another park day. If you think of it in terms of paying $14 to see a show (Tarzan), then it is incredibly reasonable. BTW, if Tusker House is on your meal agenda, I've heard it is awesome, so you could even plan on eating at AK before heading back to your resort. :teeth:

I hope your evening is fun with catching up on some of your favorite tv shows. I just did my 2 miles in 30 minutes and am heading to bed so I can support Howard at his 15K in the morning, but wanted you to know I am thinking of you and sending a huge hug!

Hey Mike!

I am so sorry to hear about the family drama. :( We have lots of that in our families as well. At times it can be so challenging and at other times, I can just roll my eyes, put a smile on my face, and move on. Families can be so complicated! I hope everything works out for you. We are here to listen if you need us to.:grouphug:

As for adding Animal Kingdom... I say go for it! I think that $14 to visit another park is a great price! Plus, it helps extend the Disney magic just a bit longer. :goodvibes By the way... I think I must be the only person on the planet who has not seen Tarzan Rocks! or eaten at Le Cellier. Well...okay... I'm not the only person...my girls and DH haven't see Tarzen or eaten at Le Cellier either. ;) :rotfl:

I hope you have a great Sunday! :sunny:

Thanks Pearlieq, Cam, and Tracy!!! I needed those good vibes. It actually wasn't family drama causing my unease but illness. My Grandmother who faced breast cancer in the winter of last year appears to be having another round now, and she is refusing chemo this time. So we are just waiting to hear some test results, and from the doctors, but I don't have the best feeling about it all. The hardest part is my dad asked me to not tell my sister who lives in San Diego because she was on a vacation and he wants to wait until he can tell her himself, so it is not easy to be talking to her like nothing is going on. I know you are all there for me and that means sooo much!!!

On a different note, I did add the extra day to my park tix so I can see Tarzan and I even booked a res at Donald's Breakfastasaurus. I honestly mostly made the res not for the food but because on my last trip I took a pic of me with Donald there so I wanted to take another so I could have a "Before & After" type photo hehe! I will keep Tusker House in mind for lunch Cam! hehe

I am also trying to plan a trip to see my sister in San Diego after the new year and if it happens, I will probably visit her for three or so days and then go to Disneyland for a day or two! hehe Yay! :) We'll see what happens!

It is a rainy cold, cold, cold day here but a pretty good one for me so far. I hope that you all are doing well!!!

Mike :goodvibes
