We booked 2 suites at the Mike Ditka's Runaway beach Club May 11-18th 2008 through travelocity. It would have been an excellent stay, but we have three complaints.
1. Maid service stole my jacket and my youngest daughters'. The resort has not offered to replace them. I left our jackets on the chair in the master bedroom. I did not use them since it was 90 degrees all week. Our jackets disapeared in the middle of the week. The hotel manager apologized but I'm out at least $200 for replacing the jackets. (Even though I spent over a grand with them).
The 2nd complaint is that we could hear the upstairs neighbor children running back & forth and crying all night when trying to sleep. Noisy!
The downstairs neighbors partied outside and I could hear their entire conversations through my bedroom window. As entertaining as it was, I would have rather gotten a longer good nights rest.
3. We had more charges added onto our bill for cleaning, our rooms were not cleaned and we had to beg for towels. The only cleaning they did was that they cleaned me and my 6yr old out of our jackets !
Other than that, it was a nice place. I will not return though, I'm kinda fond of my personal belongings and want to stay some-where where I will feel safer.
