Review Mike Ditka Runaway beach

I booked Dec6-17. Please give me peace with my decision. We paid $640.00 for everything. I'm new here. Thank you in advance for your help.

Wow you got a great rate. We stayed there last Aug for 3 nights only and I thought we had a great rate at $103.00. We really liked Runaway Beach. It was clean, we stayed in a 2 bedroom. It had a king in one room with a bathroom. It also had a second bedroom with a double and a twin. In the hall was a bathroom and the washer and dryer. The living room had two sleeper sofas. The kitchen was small, but loaded and had granite tops. We tried to stay this year before the trip but the rate I kept getting was $279.00. I just checked the other day and it was way down to maybe $149, but it's to late, we are staying at POP the whole time. You'll enjoy it!

Just want to add in my 2 cents on this resort.
Stayed only one night, the last night of a recent trip. Paid $117 for a two bedroom, no loft. Given a second floor unit in which you enter at ground level and then up 17 or so stairs to the unit. Not bad really except lugging suitcases up isn't much fun.

The unit was old with marks on the walls, stains on the dark blue carpet. No curtains just blinds on the windows. The 2 sofas appeared clean but in general, the unit had an overall "not clean" feeling. There were tiny ants crawling on the wall near the kitchen sink and also on the master bath floor along the carpet. It just made me feel gross.....and sad.
If I had small children I would have left and stayed somewhere else as I would be worried at what I couldn't see on the dark carpeting.
It served its purpose though. A place to sleep and do laundry. But there are many other accommodations in Orlando that would have been a better choice, although more $$.
It is one of the few places that I have stayed in which I would not return to or recommend to anyone.

You'll see good and bad reviews, but it might be worth your time to read them.

PS- We stayed at Lighthouse Key Resort, which I reviewed on here and on TripAdvisor- ranked #5 of 216 hotels in Kissimmee- check it out and see if you can get a comparable rate. Just comparing pictures, Lighthouse Key is clearly superior, and we would go back again!!
