I gotta add my two cents here too. Someone years (decades) ago told me to take Vanquish for these awful headaches. It is basically aspirin with caffeine. As already mentioned, the caffeine in them is the important ingredient that aids in relief.

I've been having difficulty finding Vanquish lately in the stores. Not all stores carry it anymore and in desperation I recently bought the Migraine Excedrin. I don't think it worked as fast as my Vanquish but it did work. However, I was happy to find Vanquish in our new Walmart and I stocked up on it.
