Well, we were going to move our Res from Nov to Sept of next year. Our good friends are looking at going too but don't have a camper. They looked at the camper rentals but the prices just came out to high. They can get a nice size (2 bed, 2 bath, living, dining, kitchen, back yard) condo at only 60 bucks for the week and would like us to join them there. Have to say this is a deal we are considering. We would have any easier drive (no tow), be able to hit another park (or two) and still save quite a bit of $$$ (no golf cart, better MPG on the 1600 mile trip). Am still torn because we will truly miss the relaxation of the fort and don't know when we would return. Still plan on going there at least one day though. Gotta get the new merchandise and see the HDDR. We are going to ask kids tonight but I know they are going to go for the condo since there friends are there.

What would you do?

BTW...this is now moved up to June 2012

Well okay flash828. <cough, cough> :rolleyes1

Your story is similar to those who hear the Siren's Song of "Free Dining" and go to the Moderate or Value Resorts. We can't argue with the economics of your deal. And we are flattered you'll still come by and visit us for a day and patronize the Trading Posts, etc. You've got social connections to consider and we understand that.

You do what you have to do and I get that. The Fort will always be there to welcome you with the boat whistles in the mornings, the runs to the Trading Posts for coffee, a mid-afternoon splash in the pool, and the campfire/singalong in the evenings.

Kids will always vote for the rooming option with the sturdiest walls and the biggest video screen with a gaming system (followed by the food options). Of course, they don't have to pay the bills. :lmao:

So flash, do what you need to do, brah, and we will see you around the Fort some time in the future. If you go looping and see my sign, please stop in and say "hello". I'll have a Diet Coke chilled and ready for you.

It sure is easier on the wallet. If you can enjoy yourself and have a good time. Go for it.

At dinner we asked the kids..both voted for condo...arrgggg. Yes, it is sure easier on wallet! If only it was like a $100 or even $200 diff. Or our friends didn't have that option. Might have to rent a cart for a day just to get my 'fort fix'
