We were planning on being in Disney April 30- may 5. But it's not looking promising that my stepson's mother is going to say ok to take him out of school for a week. So dh want's to go during April vacation. Just the sound of it scares me. We will be booking a suite at All star music, will there even be any left now??? And obviously it's the crowds that are scaring me the most. How will we do????? OH our april vac. is the 3rd week of april (15-20).one more question,,, the weather???????? THanks alot

My thought from experience is that you can get more done at the parks on a long weekend at another time (a Friday - Monday) than you can get done during the entire week of April break. Do you think his Mom would let him out of school for just two days? If not, then go for April and do some major planning - use TourGuideMike, Unofficial Guide/Touring Plans, Passporter, etc. whatever works best for you. And just go prepared. That's the best you can do.

Good luck.

Ouch. Spring break is not a great time to hit the parks. I'd call immediately about a reservation (good luck with that). I have to agree that you would probably be better off with a long weekend at a different time.

People worry WAY TOO MUCH about Spring Break IMO!!! Schools spread out their SBs all through March and April. We have moved A LOT and no two school districts have ever had SB the same week. The week before and the week after Easter are ALWAYS the most crowded spring times at WDW. As long as you are not one of those weeks crowds should be moderate. With planning and FP you should do fine. Honestly, I don't blame the child's mom for not wanting him to miss school, particularly if you go to WDW often. We have been many times, including very crowded times like Christmas. We don't HAVE to see every show and ride every ride on every trip....we always see and do the new things and a few old favs and have a blast. Weather should be great, warm but not hot yet. I would call and see about the hotel and then STOP WORRYING!!!!

Adding, we homeschool now but here north of Dallas there are dozens of seperate school districts and ALL of them have SB some time in March. We participate in several homeschool group activities, so we still have a calendar to schedule around, that's just life!

Thanks for your posts laceemouse, you made me feel a little better, i know it will be crowded, but, we'll be in Disney. We have some character meals we want to do, so we'll see our fav. characters that way. I'm sure it will be fine if we have to go then. We'll also use extra magic hours.

ok, we do not have to go during april break we are going in June, the week of 2 of my dd's birthdays!!!!!!!!
