Might Disney be in the market for Universal?

Actually, most of the MGM properties at Disney-MGM Studios now belong to AOL Time Warner, who got them when they bought Turner Entertainment a few years back.

Which brings up another variable...

What if AOL-Time Warner bought Universal?

I think it'd be interesting...If anything, I'd rather have the shield and the "As Time Goes By" fanfare preceding a Universal picture than that scary-as-all-get-out roaring lion.

P.S,

Maybe the talk of MGM buying Universal comes from the fact that Universal Pictures releases are predominantly shown on American Movie Channel (I hesitate to call what they air nowadays "Classics"), which is partly owned by MGM.

Sincerely,
