We just found out that we went from a 2 hour layover to a 25 minute layover. Are we going to have enough time inbetween flights or do we need to contact our travel agent? How big is this airport..we're used to flying through O'Hare. We're flying American Trans Air if that makes a difference.

Kathy387,

I don't think you will have enough time. Did the airline change this flight time? If they did you should request another flight. Explain that it is not possible. We had the same experience with Delta. I called them and they agreed with me that we would not have enough time. Since they had changed the flight time, they happily put us on the next flight with no problems.

While this isn't about Midway, it is a horror story..

Coming back from Orlando last June, via Delta, I had to connect in Cincinnatti (sp?). Was supposed to have a 45 minute layover. Unfortunately, the flight was 1/2hour late because they had to load like 5 or 6 wheelchair people. The flight was soooo crowded. Got out at cinci, at one end of the concourse (if you're familiar wi/ CVG, concorses are long, w/ connecting walkway). Gate for CVG-MKE flight was at the opposite end of the concourse. Of course, I had to stop to use the men's room, and grab something to drink. Made it to the gate just as they were calling final boarding. Another extremely crowded flight. I ended up gate-checking my carryon because there was no room in the overhead bins. Talk about a flight from hell. What was unusual was that the flights down to MCO were practically empty.

Midway is a lot smaller than O'Hare. There are two terminals A and B and you could walk from the end of one to the end of the other in 25 minutes or less and if both flights are ATA you may stay in the same terminal. Nevertheless, that is cutting it too short as it does not allow any time for any delay or even time needed to get to gate and get off the plane (arrival time quoted for a flight is touch down time not time it reaches the terminal so you can get off)..
