Midnight Buffets?

The 2 cruises that we've previously been on have had a midnight buffet each night with 1 grand buffet night. Does DCL also have midnight buffets? I haven't seen it mentioned. Not that there will be a lack of food on board! Just curious. Thanks!

I have not cruised with Disney yet but just today I was looking at someone's pictures from their disney cruise and it included pictures from a midnight dessert buffet so there is at least that. I'm sure that someone else will have more information about this topic.

DCL does not have traditional midnight buffets as favored by cruise passengers of yore....the closest thing is a late buffet on Pirate Night....nevertheless, there is always opportunity to find goodies onboard...24-hr room service offers great snacking.....

We have always had dinner at the late seating time frame and honestly was NOT even able to eat anymore later. But, we have noticed outside the clubs there was snacks, and tidbits to eat.

The Pirate night spread looked awesome...... I was too full!! :cool1:

No midnight buffet. As I have posted dozens of times, Disney is different from other lines in that it is an early to bed, early to rise line.
That is one of the few things we didn't like on Disney, we always have late seating, then go to the show, and then about 1 am go for a snack. Disney does the shows BEFORE late seating dinner, and only has a midnight buffet two nights.

We were on the Magic last month. After dinner one of the nights, our server mentioned something to us about a midnight dessert buffet, but we had the late dinner seating and were so stuffed from dinner we never made it. I heard it was great though and the presentation beautiful, with ice sculptures and that sort of thing.

I know on our other non-disney cruises we only made it to 1 midnight buffet on each cruise. It was kind of late for us (even before kids, isn't that pathetic). We are usually sleeping by 10 the latest. This trip my Mom will be with us and we are hoping to do some adult things in the evening and staying up later than usual, if we can make it!

I do like the sound of a dessert buffet one night. That I think I can handle! ;)

We were on the magic the week before last and went to two midnight buffets one pirate night -dinner food and dessert, and one-just dessert-buffet in Lumieres on Thursday night I think. They were both wonderful!

mmouse37...how do you decide what to have with all those choices? I want to eat all of them! Loved your pictures!

...And this is one of the things I LOVE about the ship. Around midnight, it's so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We love to hang out at the coffee bar for some tea or coffee, then stroll the deck when there's hardly anyone around. It's like having the entire ship to yourself for a little while....

We were lucky enough to be the first few in line (yes people do line up outside and wait for the doors to open)....but we just wanted to get pics, not to eat....we had late seating and got out of dinner at bout 10:00 ish so we were still stuffed. But I did oogle over the selections....they were beautiful and I was glad I was able to take some shots before they were dug into to!!

Thanks MMouse37. Now that I've seen the pictures, I don't have to take any of my own. I can focus on eating!!!!! :)

This was my 7th cruise, my first on Disney. It just caught me off guard, along with the show before late seating since. My wife and I dearly love dancing, and by the time dinner settled and we got to the clubs it was midnight, and the music had all stopped. Was a little upset since the Navigator said they had music until 2 am....but I can understand there is no point playing if nobody is there.
