Midland, MI- Closest airport(s)

An older relative of mine has family in Midland, MI. She needs to fly out there for a memorial service in a few weeks. I am trying to help her with her flights, but wasn't sure what the closest airports are to that area to check for her. Thanks!

MBS (Midland, Bay City, Saginaw) International Airport is quite close to Midland, Michigan. It's also sometimes called Saginaw/Tri City Airport.

United and Northwest serve MBS with regional jets operated by partner airlines.

Thanks! How far is the Detroit airport from Midland? Trying to keep all their options open!

Its approx 125 miles from DTW to Midland, about 2 1/2 hrs driving time. You might look at Flint's Bishop airport (FNT).
Its about half the distance as DTW, and a lot easier in and out of.

Definitely look at Flint Bishop Airport. It's about an hour from Midland and will give you a lot more options than MBS. Capital City Airport in Lansing would also be about 1.5 hours. Detroit Metro would be a good 2-2.5 hour drive- longer if it's during rush hour (you'd hit metro Detroit, Flint and Saginaw traffic).
