Middle names?

I don't have a middle name. My parents didn't see a need for it being we would get confirmation names. Only problem is, that's not part of a legal name! But my confirmation name is Marie.

Mom's middle name was Belle. Yes, she was a southern Belle from TX.
Dad didn't have one. Confirmation name was Edward.
DH's middle was Alan.
DS has two. I guess I had to make up for me not having one. His is Keith Edward.

Me, too! I like it just fine and actually like it better than my first name which is different and gets pronounced and spelled in a lot of creative ways. It does go well with my first name though. I also gave my DD the same middle name, mainly because it flows so well with her first and last name.

Mine is Ellen -- don't like it, but I don't like my first name either. DH's is Edward, which was his father's first name. He likes it well enough.

DH doesn't have one but we've started using Xavier for him because one of his jobs you had to have 3 initials to log into computer so they gave him "X"

DS is John (after my dad)
DS is Michael (after FIL)
DD is Patricia (after my mom)


BTW we only use "Xavier" around the house for his middle name. We don't use it legally. One DS has already decided he's taking Xavier for confirmation for dad.

I don't use my middle name, Ann, anymore. I use my maiden name as my middle name now, as my mother did.

My children's middle names are all after family members. My oldest son is Richard, after his godfather and grandfather. My middle son is Allan, after his uncle. And my daughter's middle name is my first name and my mother's first name. I didn't want her to go through life as "little ______" as I did, so I put it in there as her middle name. My mom was happy that I did.

Same here, my mother said know body ever uses their middle name. Also my sisters also dont have middle names. My kids do,dd-nicole and ds-andrew.

Mine is Jessica after my grandpa Jessie. I love it for that reason.

Mine is Lawana. It's Native American (I have some Native American ancestry) and means "laughing water."

I like it as a middle name because it's unique. I'm glad it's not my first name though.

Mine is Jeanette, after my aunt, who also is my godmother. I added my maiden name as a second middle name when I got married, so I legally have 2 middle names now. I like it, but it sure is long when I have to sign all 4!

With the exception of DD, we've all got 2 middle names, thanks to the Catholic confirmation thing.

DS 2 is Patrick Seheult (was going to be his first name but when he came out he idnt look like a Patrick so we swapped the first and middle names).

Mine is Diane, DH's is William.
DS is William as he is a Jr, DD1 is Diane (I really like the name) and DD2 is Anne (It went well with Beth).
I have 6 grandkids DGS1 is William (he is the 3rd), DGS2 is Lucas, DGD1 is Marie, DGS3 Joseph (another 3rd), DGS4 is William (sfter his father) and DGD2 is Rose.

Mine is Roena- ewwwwwww!!!!! I hate it, but love my first name Nichole . My sisters is Cornelia- which I think is worse. She thinks mine is worse though. LOL (we fight over this ) They were 2 of our Grandmother's names.

Mine is Allen, Kids are James and Lawrence. My oldest was already named when I got him. He was originally a third, so when I adopted him, we only changed his last name. Youngest is after his two grandpas, one was Larry the other was Lorain.

Side note, had originally planned to call him Lawrence Kenneth and use his middle name, but my mom requested us not to do so, because she had gone by her middle name her entire life and said that she didn't want my son to have to deal with it as she did.

Mine is also Louise. It was my grandmother's sister's name. As a kid, I didn't like it, but because I knew her I now like my middle name.

My sister's and my Mom's is Anne.

My Dad, my brother-in-law, his Dad & grandfather and my nephew are all Edward for their middle names.
