Middle name for Anne

I'm Anne-Marie (all one first name) and no Middle name.

I had a long Italian maiden name and I think my parents took pity on me!

I vote that you add my name to it ~ Marie.

Anne Marie sounds good together.

I'm Ann Marie. I've only known one other Ann that wasn't an Ann Marie. It's nice to see so many here with parents that had some originality! :rotfl:
How about her maiden name or other family name?

The last name starts with a "D". She doesn't have a family name that she likes or likes paired with Anne. So far she wants Anne Madison but her Dh doesn't like it. I'll give her these suggestions. Thanks so much for all of these!

oooh...I love Anne Elyse! :thumbsup2
My younger daughter's name is Julianne Elyse. I always thought it flowed very nicely. :)

I haven't read all the posts but I really like "Anne Elise". It comes out sounding like "Annalise" ...love it!!!

After reading all these ideas, it definitely seems to me like the name "Anne" flows best with a middle name starting with a vowel. I think that's why so many people like Elizabeth or Elyse.

"N" is just a hard letter to pronounce with another consonant right behind. It's too hard to say the "n" sound and "m" sound together, as in Anne Madison. It just doesn't roll off the tongue right. If it were Annie or Anna, it would sound ok. I guess Anne Margaret sounds okay, but that's because we all are used to hearing the name of actress Ann-Margret.

I don't like it with anything because it is just stuck in my head as a middle name, lol. It was the middle name for all 3 of the girl names I picked (had boys though so never got to use it).

How many people even hear their middle name after about age 10 or so? Seriously, I don't think anyone has called me Carla Michelle in more than 25 yrs. Middle names spell big trouble in our family - that is, if a kid is being really outrageous, I may break out the "Michael Joseph....." otherwise, it's only first names.

Well, nearly every Elizabeth I've ever met has the middle name Ann(e), but I like it turned around to Anne Elizabeth myself.

I thought of the same thing when I saw the title of the post: Anne Elizabeth.

I'm Ann Elizabeth- hate it- have always hated it. I would rather have been Elizabeth Ann. Is the name Ann(e) making a comeback as a first name?!

Ann
