Middle-aged women in WDW

when I take older ones to the park with me I always suggest a trip over to POR to see Yehaa Bob! He is great and girls your age (like myself) will enjoy him greatly!!!:cool1:

I have to agree on Yehaaa Bob quite a show!

Our group of ladies always consist of my DD who will be 40 and the rest of us range in age of late 50's to early 60's. We have done several trips as a group. We all have different DVC that we prefer for different reason's. But as a group we always stick to Boardwalk Villa's. Love the easy access to Epcot and The Studios. We always have a spa day. We have done the GF spa and SSR spa. This time we are going to Mandera spa. We have one night where we get all fancy and dine at Fulton's or Flying Fish. Spent many a night at Jellyrolls. We plan for the first time this trip seeing YeeHaa Bob. We also bring along a chic flik movie for movie night in case we have a rainy or cold night. WE include wine, popcorn and OJ for movie night. When in the parks we make sure to stop at several photopass per park. We also purchase a Disney photobook with the year on the front. With photopass and everyone taking photos we manage to fill it up with no problem. We have also rented a car and made a day trip to Tampa Hard Rock Casino. We have went to clearwater beach for the day and had lunch at the Palm Pavillion most people prefer Frenchy's but we like the Palm Pavillion. This year we are making a trip to Winter Park to a wine shop for tasting. If you have tea lovers in your group make a ressie at the Grand Floridian tea room. We also love going to the Hoop Dee Doo. Cheesy but it has become a tradtion for us middle age ladies:hippie: If you are going during Epcots Food and Wine or Flower and Garden go to one of the nightly concerts. Have a great time. Our group will be at Disney October 15th.

1st. Most definately stay DVC. I find the Boardwalk DVC's most convenient to both parks and for fun on the Boardwalk. Additionally, by knocking out breakfast in your room, you leave more time in the parks.

2nd. Visit POR especially for the yeaaa Bob show. He is fabulous and always great fun. Get there about an hour to 45 minutes before his show begins to get a good seat, then order you a nice drink and a snack and enjoy. If your not to tired afterward, talk a walk around POR and possibly the boatride afterward to Downtown Disney (can catch a bus back to your DVC not to mention a bit of shopping if your there before they close some of the stores).

3rd. Spent at least half a day at one of the waterparks. I am not a beach person but use to love a good waterpark when I was younger. I was pleasantly surprised when I spent a day at Typhoon Lagoon 5 yrs ago. I only meant to spend about 4 hours there and found myself so relaxed I was there all day. I love waterslides (not the straight down going 50mph ones) but the regular round types, did some time in the wave pool and went around and around in the lazy river pool that goes around the entire park which was so calm, cool and relaxing (very little noise with the local florida fauna scenery).

4th. Make a few dinner reservations at the other disney resort and tour those resorts after as they have beautiful archetitural designs and landscapes (Wilderness Lodge, Poly, Coronado), it doesn't matter which one as they are all unique.

;) Just enjoy being a middle aged kid.
