Heading to WDW in November with DD who will be turning 3. She still needs a 1 1/2 - 2 hour nap every day around noon. Just wondering what the rest of you with toddlers do about naptime? We are staying at the Contemporary so we can go to and from the hotel if necessary. But even being close to MK it seems like going back to the room, napping 2 hours, and heading back to the park is going to kill our day. She also goes to bed for the night around 8 p.m. so we will probably not be able to stay out late, either. Anyone had success just letting the kids snooze in their strollers? Other tips? Thanks!

I just came back from a trip with my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. We rented a stroller form off-site and every day we'd find a quiet spot in a restaurant on inoventions or a store and I'd watch my GD while her parents rode some roller coasters. It was a win win since I got to relax with my GD and read a book in AC while they got to ride the coasters.

When I went with a child that age (my son), we stayed offsite and just stayed in the park ALL day. He napped in the stroller whenever he was ready. We either did rider switch or kept busy doing activities in such a way that we did not disturb him. At the end of the day, we just let him fall asleep in the stroller if he wanted to and we didn't let it interfrere with everyone else getting to see the fireworks.

My DS4 has been to WDW four times and has always napped in his stroller. We bring his from home, so it is a comfortable one with a good sun shade. In fact if it was nap time and he was fighting it, all I had to do was ride the monorail with him in the stroller and we was out.

We went when DDs were almost 5 and almost 3 years old. Since we did rope drop every day, we decided we ALL needed an afternoon nap. We had no problem leaving the park for a few hours and coming back for dinner, more rides, and fireworks.

Yup my DD, who was that age when went in December, napped in the stroller. Sometimes we'd do a lap on the monorail to help conk her out but once she fell asleep we'd head back into the parks and do rider swap on some rides. Just be prepared to go with the flow and you'll have a great time!! If youDO need to head back to the hotel for a nap, don't let it get you down. A little resort time in the middle of the day can be a good break for everyone. Have a great time!

We tried to go back to the resort for naps daily on our last trip but that didn't always happen- DS3 napped in the stroller one day in MK, at AK he napped through Nemo, and at HS he napped through frozen sing a long and little mermaid.

We would got back to nap, swim, dinner at a resort and then at the parks until 10ish

Both my girls napped in the stroller when they were little. In fact, this will be our first trip to WDW without a stroller and I'm a little nervous about my 8 year old. She gets whiny and cranky when she gets over tired. This may be our first trip leaving the parks for a nap!

We rented a double for our 1 1/2 year old and 5 year old from an Orlando company, and BOTH girls napped in it. We attached stroller fans and out toddler napped every day. By day 4 or 5, our 5 year old was wiped out too, and crashed for 2 hours in the stroller. We did go back to our resort midday once, after we left HS. We swam, rested and headed to DTD later that evening.

I think it totally depends on your child!! We went when our daughter was 17 months and she napped great in the stroller. We would let her sleep and then we would all go back to swim, change and have some down time. My husband has to go back to the hotel mid day and do a hot tub soak and relax. It use to drive me crazy because we were "wasting" time but now I have really come to enjoy our afternoon breaks. I also remind myself I am actually paying just as much for the hotel room so why not enjoy the resort.
Fast forward to our last trip when she was a little past 2. She wouldn't nap in the stroller :( Too much to see, too much she wanted to be involved in, and trust me I tried. But of course our last day we stopped at downtown disney before hitting the road and she clunked out...... The week had finally caught up with her. so I guess what I am saying is go with the flow. Only your outlook on it will ruin your trip. :)
