We are planning a trip to WDW for my family and several friends - planning to go in mid-October (10/13-10/21/2007) to catch MNSSHP and EPCOT's F&W Festivals.

How's the crowd level during that time? My experience with WDW has been spring break season (BUSY!) and week after Thanksgiving (NOT BUSY!). Yeah, I know, two extremes :)

I know I can look online at historical crowd levels. But, would like to get some first hand account from other people on here.

Thanks in advance.

I went the last week of October last year. I wouldn't exactly call it "slow," but the crowd level is definitely manageable. It's during Food and Wine festival time, as well as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party time, so it has become more and more popular. I plan to go again the first week of October next year, and think it's a great time to go!

Columbus Day Wknd is super busy but other than that, I'd call Oct. slow. Love October!

If you avoid Columbus Day weekend completely, you should be ok.

Book your resort early, as they tend to sell out or get close to it. But that just means there are lots of vacationers, on weekdays there aren't many locals, and that keeps it manageable.

Don't try to go to Food & Wine on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night. It's way less crowded at Epcot on a weeknight. Oh, and don't go if it's evening EMH.

Just booked Oct 19th thru the 26th.

We just went this past October (14th - 21st) and it was anything but slow! Don't get me wrong it wasn't July busy, but it was pretty crowded - more so than I expected. I would go again in October. MNSSHP was alot of fun and the crowds are managable.

We were there this past October (24-30). Wow! Crowds were very low IMO. We never waited as much as 15 minutes for any ride in any park. I did see Soarin' listed at 70 minutes one day, but that was the only big wait time I saw.

The weather was awesome. Maybe low 80's at day and 60 at night. We had no rain during our stay. It did rain one night, but that was he night we'd planned to be inthe room anyhow ;) . I would go back in October again.

MNSSHP: We found it to be a bit more crowded than we expected, but overall it was great fun.
