Hi everybody! I'm making my packing list for my mid-November trip... never too early, right? Should I plan on bringing shorts, capris or jeans? I haven't been in November before, just July, September, October and December. July was HOT (holy heavens...), September and October were hot but bearable, and December was super cold. Is it safe to assume that November would be jeans weather with a tshirt during the day, and adding a light jacket to that in the evening?

I was there last November 11-18. One morning it was 78 degrees or so, one morning it was about 45 degrees. The rest were somewhere in between, but leaning towards colder.
In 2006 when I was there in mid November- it was warm every day.
Be prepared for anything

Unfortunately the best advice is to pack a couple of everything. We were there the week after Thanksgiving one year and wore down vests and gloves to MVMCP, then sweltered in jeans and short sleeves a few days later. Totally wished for just one pair of shorts!!

All of the above. Though, last Thanksgiving I did end up wearing jeans every day with short sleeves and carried a fleece pullover.

Winter is a frustrating season to pack for here. It can be hot or cold, sometimes in the same day. Pack it all and check the forecast each morning.

Definitely all 3! We have been mid-November the past 3 years and it can totally vary. Last year one day we were bundled up with sweaters and jackets... A few days later tank tops and shorts!

We were there in November last year and I agree that all 3 would be best! I did capri's with short sleeves and a jacket most days. Jacket was needed mornings/evenings and capris were middle ground enough for the warm and the cool. Check weather forecast right before you leave to decide for sure. Good luck and have fun!

Yep, all three. In Nov 2013, we had temps ranging from 60-85 during the day. Most days were warm, but about day 3 a cold front with wind came through and temps were under 60 when we entered MK and we had to buy sweatshirts. Everyone in the park that day had jackets and a lot had long pants. We wore shorts, but it was the coldest weather we've ever had in Nov. The wind made it worse than it would have been without it. We've also been there the week before Thanksgiving and had 90 degree days the entire time.

I love going in the fall, but it's sooo hard to pack properly! I hate the summer, but it does make packing easier :)

All three. I was there November 13 - 20 last year and had weather that all three would work for.

Be sure and look at local news stations before you go for their 5 day forecast. I find those the most accurate. We have been multiple times over Thanksgiving week and have mostly experienced swimming weather, but have had days where we had to wear heavy jackets and gloves. It really depends on when a cold front blows through, so just look at the weather before you go. There really isn't a way to predict what it will be like when you go.

I have gone in late November on several trips and I usually take all three. I wear capris more than anything else and carry a jacket if I am going to be in the park after dark.

I have been going in mid Nov since I was a kid and I have learned to pack everything.. shorts, capris, jeans, bermuda shorts, tanks, tshirts, hoodie. It can be cooler in the mornings, warm up in the afternoons to high 70's- low 80's and in the evenings go down to 50's or 60's. The one thing I love about November is the weather. It doesn't rain much and the humidity is almost non-existant. But I always pack something for any kind of weather because you just never know. I am already throwing things in my suitcase for my upcoming Nov trip.

Pack clothes you can layer! Short sleeves with a sweatshirt over, hats, light jackets... Gloves are not a bad idea either in case it gets down into the 30's or 40's early or late in the day, which is not unusual for November. And the cold FEELS colder because the air is so moist. We travel from Ohio, and what feels like a comfortable temperature here in the dry air feels FREEZING to us in Florida because of the added humidity. I packed the extra-lightweight fleece pullovers from LL Bean for my kids because they kept them warm when the temps were down, but they were easy to roll up really small and pack in my park bag later when it warmed up. I brought sweaters that i could later tie around my waist, but in 2013 still ended up caving and buying a sweatshirt because I needed more than just a sweater. I was FREEZING!!! But the sweatshirt is super-cute and I still love to wear it, so I'm not complaining. :)

Last year in dec were were doing shorts in day and jeans/light jackets at night.

Yes!

My one November trip found me ridiculously unprepared. (And I'm a champ of clothes-planning.). It was downright cold in the evenings.

Since we don't stay there we get lockers for clothes we'd need just in case the weather changes
