My DH & I stayed at YC. This was our 3rd during covid. It was by far the best because we didn’t have to wear masks outside, so much cooler. The resort was lovely. We miss house keeping. We ate at multiple table service restaurants. I’ll probably do the reviews for them back to back. 68920F63-D3DC-4DB3-90E7-A888C19A27A3.jpeg7552368C-A632-42FB-A14A-AF49C8838F74.jpeg55425D51-3E1E-4533-9688-7198EB519CCA.jpeg

First up was Le Cellier. We ate there a couple of times but since we ate the same thing both times I’ll just do one review.
I ordered the kid’s cheddar soup, the kid’s grilled chicken breast with Boursin cheese mashed potatoes & a ice cream sundae. I love this meal. The small cup of soup is perfect size. It’s probably about 1/2-3/4 cup of soup. The chicken is moist & flavorful. I really enjoy the potatoes too & the sundae is big enough to share.
My DH ordered the filet mignon with French fries instead of risotto. The filet was cooked perfectly. It had a nice crust & seasoning.
I miss the WS CMs from all the different countries. Our waitress was nice but she was so loud & was over worked, having to rush around (obviously not her fault). We did see lots of CMs shadowing waiters, waitresses, etc. So it’s good they have hired more people but would’ve helped if they’d done so before increasing capacity.855F4AD4-1A96-4419-93F6-DCC3ED482FBD.jpeg

Hollywood Studios! We tried to get ROTR at 7am and of course didn’t get it. We ate at 50’s Primetime for lunch and Shula’s for dinner.

50’s PT. We shared Aunt Liz’s golden fried chicken served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, gravy, & corn. We also ordered a side of French fries and ice cream for dessert. The chicken pieces are on the small side but it was plenty for us. The corn is can corn, but good. The mashed potatoes were good with the gravy & the fries were crispy with the right amount of salt. And of course the ice cream was cold & yummy.

For dinner we walked over to Shula’s. We were seated right away at not the greatest of tables. We’re really not picky where we sit, but did see another couple be seated in same not great area & they requested to move to a better area. Anyway, service was terrific. I started dinner with a amaretto sour, it was refreshing. We ordered two appetizers, the tuna tartare (diced ahi tuna, red chili, sesame vinaigrette, avocado cream, & crispy wonton) & New Orleans style shrimp (Cajun spice shrimp, lemon, garlic butter, & toasted crostini). The tuna was so yummy & tasted very fresh. The shrimp were ok, (sorry I took the pic after most were eaten). We are from Louisiana & I’ve definitely eaten better. For entrees, my DH orders the 10oz filet mignon & I decided to order the molten lava cake because hey I’m on vacation & can eat cake for dinner if I want to!:flower1: The filet was cooked perfectly & flavorful. The lava cake was pure decadence, mmmmmm:cloud9:3C934A37-523F-4737-8204-A002FB637D04.jpeg8D1B51EA-DF30-4D2A-ADAB-123B09FB6AFC.jpeg1F01B8DF-1861-4CB8-B470-CBD17716EAD6.jpeg7070FD77-51B9-4D13-9768-02502B959323.jpeg4A9FE832-0AF8-4053-8C0B-15DB0437A8B0.jpeg1C452CFA-FFC0-4D92-8B69-2A9C700FF49E.jpeg063BD9D1-75CD-429F-96CA-4F140346779C.jpeg706F83A8-23F4-4256-9852-0BB7552DC93E.jpegC3491E3B-56AA-4469-9E4C-A920C4EBC9BC.jpeg

Onto our first MK day. We ate at one of my favorite places, Liberty Tree Tavern. Though I have not enjoyed because of covid the way they make you stay outside until someone comes yelling your name. I’m a little hard of hearing & found it different to hear our name with all of the other noises around.
On to the food!
We had the All-You-Care-to-Enjoy Bill of Fare which includes declaration salad, roasted Turkey breast, pot roast, oven roasted pork, mash potatoes, green beans, stuffing, Mac & cheese, oooey gooey toffee cake.
Our server was nice. She brought us warm rolls and butter. The rolls are not as good as they were a few years back. It’s just standard rolls, heated. The salad is a regular salad with a nice zesty dressing, the Turkey, unfortunately, was a little dry this time We opted out of the pork since neither of us like it. The pot roast was tender, a little fatty, but tasty. The stuffing is basically stove top stuffing. The green beans were squeaky. The mash potatoes & gravy were very good. I really didn’t care for the Mac & cheese. Now the star of the lunch was the oooey gooey toffee cake. Mmmm I wish I had some now. That dessert just might be my favorite in all of Disney. Just delicious!1FF4CFBF-D8A1-4836-9848-FE7197052084.jpegE333E607-3FEA-4F62-8911-8A29E0299522.jpeg3668F1A5-E7CD-4F97-9A2F-2A097CBA7B6E.jpeg
Looking at this photo I realize they did give us pork though we asked to not have it, we didn’t want to waste food. A41C39BB-FFE2-4CB5-A823-E18D148939B8.jpeg561AF5F4-E8E0-43EB-9746-D85492B0739E.jpeg

Let me take a moment to just apologize for any half eaten and sideways photos. Sometimes I’d forget to take a pic until after we’d started eating and to be honest I really don’t know why the pics are downloading sideways. :sad2:

Later that day we hopped to Epcot to eat at Rose & Crown. I was still kind of full from lunch so I ordered the Coronation Salad, crisp salad with Madras dressing on top of a crunchy grain cracker. I’ve eaten this before there & I’m sad to say they’ve changed it & not for the better. It was a sad little salad. I’ve had better at Wendy’s. My DH ordered the Welsh Pub Burger, angus beef patty with beer cheese sauce, bacon, & beer battered leeks served with a side of Branston mayonnaise. He ordered it without sauce & the Mayo & leeks on the side. I tried the leeks, kind of tasted like crispy onions. He did not like the Branston Mayo & ask for regular Mayo, which they gave him. His burger also came with thick fries. The hamburger was good, but not all of the fries were cooked thoroughly. A445FD5F-AAF0-4E5A-84C8-DD71237AE4EE.jpegE036CA47-C119-43FE-BBD9-BA24DABC2E39.jpeg

The next day was our Epcot day and we ate at Le Cellier again & had the same thing as above.
Onto our second MK day, where we ate at The Plaza Restaurant. My DH ordered the Main Street Burger, a 7oz. All beef patty topped with cheddar, house made bacon, lettuce, tomato, sunny side up egg, beer battered onion ring, & roasted poblano mayonnaise served in a flour dusted Kaiser bun. He asked for it with just Mayo & ketchup. The burger was very good, cooked well, & juicy. The bacon was thick & really good bacon. I ordered the Plaza Turkey Club with roasted Turkey, house made bacon, lettuce, tomato, & mayo on a toasted sourdough bread. This was a HUGE sandwich & could be easily shared. It was also very good, though the bread is a bit dry & I wish it would’ve been served on something softer. Both sandwiches were served with thin crispy fries that I love. For dessert I ordered a pineapple sundae. So refreshing!4093E64B-78D1-40CF-9EBB-F18D1BFAA3B0.jpeg64775A23-A872-4E0F-BFB2-F333742E8E72.jpeg0828B6D4-2268-473B-AD01-33C11603687D.jpeg

Later that evening we went downstairs and ate at Ale & Compass Restaurant. The restaurant is nice inside. Our waiter was friendly. We ordered the Parker House Rolls & Spreads with bacon jam, pub cheese, & citrus butter. We loved these rolls. My favorite spreads are the bacon jam & pub cheese. So, so good. Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic before we ate them all, LOL, but if you look in the back of the shrimp picture you’ll see the crumbs & little cups of spreads. For entree, my DH ordered the 10oz New York Angus strip with maitre d’hotel butter, truffle fries, house made steak sauce, & watercress salad. It also came with thick fries, which were undercooked. The steak was cook to requested temperature & the steak sauce was very good. I ordered Roasted garlic shrimp with house made focaccia as my entree. It was ok, it was cooked well but bland. Our last day was suppose to be HS then hop to Epcot. But when we didn’t get a boarding pass for ROTR at 7am we decided to just laze around our room. We did get a boarding pass at the 1pm window & the wait was on. Unfortunately as time went by we realized we probably wouldn’t be able to do both ROTR & eat at Teppan Edo. So I told my DH to go to HS & I’d go to Epcot & hopefully he’d make it back in time for our reservation. Well he didn’t so I ate alone. It was kind of sad. But the food was good and our chef had excellent skills with his knives, etc. I ordered Ebi, 10 grilled shrimp served with sun onion salad, udon noodles, veggies, & steamed white rice. I would’ve liked to order dessert but I guess my waitress thought I had had enough food cause she brought me my check right away. So when I got back to our resort I went to the Ale & Compass makerplace and bought a dessert. I think it was some kind of cookies and cream dessert. It was yummy!28B6FF69-5F5A-47E7-AFC9-7EEFC7DB15F2.jpegF016C2F7-C1D8-400C-AD97-4CA30E1DC8FC.jpegCE58F65A-E0CD-4B3B-8D39-42AE150FB289.jpeg6BCE1D6D-620C-4074-A541-8624D2804B24.jpegD8CEA534-B2D2-4695-B028-D4A564CC7336.jpeg189DE62B-1536-4477-A7AF-13E710FB2125.jpeg
