Mid/Late July vs Early August?

Any appreciable difference? We had a great July trip there a few years back, but of course Carsland hadn't just opened :). Trying to schedule some other summer activities, so we can make room for our DL roadtrip....anything we really need to pay attention to that would affect either time more than the other?

August does tend to be a little bit warmer, but other than that there is not much difference between July and August. Remember that it is also summer break for most schools here, so be prepared for there to be a lot of people. If you are prepared for this, any time you choose will be ok. :) The beaches are really nice to go to around this time as well. They are about 30 minutes drive from the Disneyland area, but is a nice alternative for a warm day and it might be something you can add to your road trip!

Hope this helps!

We love August all the way up to the time the socal passes become unblocked. Busy, but we enjoy the warmth..beaches are a must if you have the time.

Thanks all! We are thinking of doing a week or so, give us time to hit legoland and the beach, too. DH was a lifeguard down there 20 years or so, and would love to get back to the beach and do some surfing. :)
