Mid-Late August Discounts

My fiancee are planning a trip to WDW from Aug 16-31 for our honeymoon...

Any idea what discounts might be available then? Havent' heard anything about AP rates or other codes. We're hoping to stay at POFQ. We have a AAA card, will there be any discounts available via that?

I posted on another thread about August.

We go in August and are waiting for AP rates.

The current AAA rate for POR (or any other mod. ) is $136.50 per night which includes tax.

We have gotten an AP rate for the last 4 years and have not paid more than $94 per night. Last year , in August, we stayed for 10 nights and the room cost was $837.00 or $83.70 per night inlcuding taxes.

After talking to a CM the other day, she mentioned that AP rates were coming out soon. But she was not sure if they would cover ALL of summer.

Past AP rates, that come out around this time of year, usually do not include late summer. Those codes usally come out in May or so.

If this is your honeymoon, I would book with the AAA code now this way you get what you want. Then when AP rate comes out, call and have it applied.

EVERYONE on these boards is very good about letting others know when AP rates come out.

Actually now that I notice, we'll be there the same time.
We are going 8-12 to 8-22.

Is there actually a code you have to use, or do you just need to have a AAA card and let CRO know whne you book?

I just booked WL standard view with AAA rates for 5 nights 9/3 to 9/8 for a total of $934.00 including taxes, which works out to $188.60 a night. I will apply the AP rates which should come out around May or June for that time frame. Last year, the Poly had $99 AP rates for fall.

Can someone help me? I would like to stay on Disney property for our next visit August 2004 (if I can afford it) or August 2005 if we have to wait that long. I see a lot of information referencing booking a Disney resort at one price and lowering the price with a discounts when they appear. How is all of this done? I am trying to obtain the best value for a single parent traveling with one child. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the boards MsMulan. Different discounts appear at different times of the year. Head on over to Mary Waring's site...mousesavers.com She has the scoop on a lot of the different deals. And hang out on these boards and you can't help but find out all the good stuff. Have fun planning.
