How's the planning going? I can't believe our trip is less than 60 days away now!

I've been so busy with work, I sort of quit planning for a while. I need to start up again ASAP, like starting with ordering our park tickets, LOL!

We're so excited! The planning for me goes in fits and stops, but all the major stuff is planned. I've started a PTR if anyone is interested in reading.:flower3: The link is in my siggie. Thanks again, Good 'ol Gal, for organizing this.:goodvibes

Unfortunately we have not done much planning other than surfing the DISBoards on a daily basis... We are DVC owners and go once a year. We don't over plan anything... prefer to take it slowly and just go with the flow as far as parks go, meaning which one to visit each day and as far as places to eat go too. We usually only do a table service lunch in the parks and come back to the room and cook dinner. We also do breakfast in the room each day as none of us are big breakfast eaters. This year we are doing a split stay for the first time. Two nights at AKL in Kadani Village and then 6 nights at the Wilderness Lodge. We did decide to try the dining plan for the first two nights but after that we will be on our own to eat somewhere.. With all the people doing the pay for 4 and stay 3 plus all the people on the dining plan it is much harder to just walk up to a restaurant to eat than in years past but we manage just fine.

Our arrival day will probably be a resort day. We are landing in Orlando at about 6:30 AM after an overnight flight. We will be tired and needing some rest but are sure the room will not be ready until close to the official check in time so we will bring our swimsuits and hang out at the pool after a quick breakfast somewhere at AK. We have our tickets from a previous visit - bought 10 day non-expiring tickets last year so we have left over days..

Other than that and planning to use the photo pass system (a new thing for us) we have nothing official plannes... :)

No worries we will have a great time....

DHM: We will be passing each other then! We're staying at VWL too, our FAVORITE resort!!

We've done a split stay before with AKV and VWL. We had a Savannah view
room and that was pretty neat.

I am a planner in general and this trip we've planned very little. I have an idea on which park on which day to go to, but other than that........

We're only doing two TS meals, very different for us since we usually do one a day. We're trying the QSP this time.

by the new DISboard rules about Swaps involving money? There is a huge thread that just started today explaning why these are not allowed anymore and they are going to lock all threads this Friday but I can't tell since I think everyone has already paid. We may need a new way to contact each other about the uploading etc....

I assume we would continue our share via email since it is paid for

wow, I haven't heard anything about it... guess I'm not on the DIS enough.

and unfortunately for me I have been on it way to much today... After reading the thread about swaps involving money I am not sure if we are ok to proceed on the DISBoards or not....
I am STILL very happy to have found this swap and wish there was exceptions to the rules being enforced now but..
