Mid day breaks

Nov. will be our first off site visit and I have a question about mid day breaks. We will be traveling with my aunt who had a kidney transplant a couple years ago and uses an ECV. I know a full day at the parks would exhaust her. Is it pretty easy to leave the parks midday and return later, and find parking again? Do I only have to pay for parking once? And If we decided to go to a different park, do I have to pay for parking again? I guess it's helpful to mention we are staying in Windsor Hills. Thanks.

Only pay to park 1 time per day just be sure to save reciept. Other than the MK it is very very easy to leave park mid day....MK not impossible to leave but it does take a bit longer than the other parks because of either having to ferry or monorail over to park from the TTC.

As far as find parking again we usually find better parking when we return after mid day break than we had in the am. Have aunt bring her handicapped parking tag if she has one or can get one.

Just wanted to add that Windsor Hills is a very easy drive to and from the parks. We've stayed there in June and October - very quick drive both times. We also found that we got even better parking spots when we went back to the parks later. On a couple of occasions at Epcot, we just walked back to the car rather than taking the shuttle.

If you have a party member with an ECV, are you able to use handicapped parking? I know when we went with my sister, who is handicapped and uses crutches/wheelchair, we were NOT allowed to park in handicapped spots as we had a rental car that didn't have the handicapped logo license plates. They did, however, allow us to drive to the drop-off area for each park and let her out there, where she patiently waited for the rest of us.

We have stayed at Windsor Hills a couple of times and it's probably shorter to take a midday break there, as you have your own car, than it is to wait for busses back to your resort, get to your room, then get the bus back to the resort after your break. WDW will give you a parking pass to display on the dashboard of your car. It is good for the full day, regardless of how many different lots you park in. Can you imagine the uproar if everyone with their own cars had to pay to park when they parkhopped during the day?

When my mom reached the point that she needed handicapped parking, she was given a hang tag for her rearview mirror. It was not tied to any one automobile so she was able to get handicapped parking whether she was in her own car or not. This was great for times that someone else had to drive her somewhere. Obviously it would solve the rental car issue as well. I would check into it and see if the hang tag is offered in your area.
