Mid August Weather at Vero Beach

Hey everyone, considering a last min trip to Vero Beach in Mid August. Can anyone tell me what the weather is like then? Is it unbelieveably hot? Were talking Aug 8th thru 15th.

Have been during August; we didn't find it unbearable, but we weren't doing much - beach & pool, high 80's into 90's.

We haven't visited there yet, but my thought is that it would be a bit cooler since it is directly on the coast/ocean. You might get more breezes anyway!

There will be opportunities to walk the beaches to see turtle nests in August. We dodged Katrina in August one year, she was hammering Miami. The sky was awesome, but it was a rainy trip, and the rains were very heavy.

We've been there twice in August and it's HOT, but as a previous poster said, not unbareable. The ocean breeze does help a bit; if we get too hot, we cool off in the ocean. IMO, the humidity is more intense at WDW than at VB. The humidity is something I enjoy.

Last year we got slammed with TS Fay while at VB . I was so disappointed but that's to be expected when you travel during peak hurricane season. Hopefully our next trip to VB will be storm-free.
