I know this probably doesn't come under "creative" but I'm trying to do up the merge for my wedding invites.

Here's what I've got:

The merge works fine, but I was hoping to be able to get three of them on one page. They'd fit, but they only print one to a page. I think it's because of how I've got it set up...

So my question is, to all those who get mail merge, how do I get more then one to a page, and have them spaced correctly? Do I have to put them all on the one page, and space them manually?

Edited to add that I've tried putting them on one page before doing the merge and after, and if I do it before the merge it just copies the one name three times, if I do it after the merge it still prints on different pages. :confused3

I'm not sure if you can fit multiples on one page (although it is probably possible)...why don't you precut your paper? If you have the page setup to the correct size of the invitation then you can run them individually and not have to worry about how to fit three on a page.

I suppose there's no harm doing it that way, I just thought doing it three to a page would be easier, and print faster :confused3

Thanks, I'll give that a go.

You will eventually have to trim the paper and unless you are feeding them one at time...it shouldn't take any more time to print. Put a stack of paper in the printer and let it print.

Doesn't work :headache: the paper either get's jammed, or it doesn't realise that there's paper in there. :sad2:

My printer doesn't like paper that size. It would be fine if it was photo size or envelope size, but it's only 9x20cm.

Back to the drawing board, but thanks for your help. :surfweb:

If you set them up three per page and got the same name three times, than you need to add "next record" after your "Greeting Line" field. Don't do it on the third one, as Word knows to go to the next record at the end of the page. On my version of Word, it's under Add Merge Field, but on your version if could be under Rules.

Hope this helps!
