So, Mom and I have been trying to schedule a trip together, but our schedules make finding dates tough. We've decided to go to WDW over my fall break, which includes Yom Kippur. We are Jewish, but not exactly practicing. So, we're taking the suggestion made by someone on the boards and making our very own celebration: Mickey's Very Somber Yom Kippur.

Any other Jews want to meet up for break the fast?

Am I a bad person or what? The first thing that comes to mind is that you can explain to the kids that they are wearing CROCS since you can't wear leather shoes.

Have a wonderful as well as reflective time.

My first wedding anniversary falls on Yom Kippur this year. A fall wedding seemed like such a good idea at the time.

I'm going to try and make it to disney for Minnie's Succot Harvest Festival ;)

Based upon my Kosher meal from last year there can also be
Goofy's Sephardic Passover :)

I celebrated Goofy's Sephardic Passover last year :teeth:. Although with my family, every year is celebrated goofy style.

I'm just curious...was there rice in the meal?

Not in the beef meal. The chicken meal if its the same meal they use during the year does ( which I suspect) has a couscous ( rice)

And here I was thinking that it was Minnie's Somewhat Celebratory Purim.

If you go for Purim, it's got to be Figment's festival, since Epcot is the only park to serve alcohol....

(Note for non-Jews - it's a mitzvah, or a good dead, to party hard on Purim)
