Mickeys very merry Christmas party

We are planning to go to the Christmas party and my son is so very very very keen to see the seven dwarfs and Nick and Julie and make good use to do as much as we can. I am aware that it can get busy with these 2 characters but my qustion to all is does anyone have any hints or tips to make this as easy as possible ?

Follow the Halloween party threads. The line for the Dwarfs is always insanely long. Are Nick and Julie MVMCP characters?

Look for maps early on line so you can scope out what you want to do first. If character meet & greets are a high priority, plan on getting in line EARLY. Like at least 30 min before their appear time.
Get in the parks early. If you don't have tix for that day, you can enter at 4 pm. This will give you time to plan your attack, get something to eat and kind of enjoy the night.
Have patience. Even though the amount of people is "limited" it doesn't mean it isn't crowded. It is.
The parade and fireworks are really spectacular so make sure you carve out time to find a good spot for those. Again at least 30 min early (I usually do an hour).
