This is the first time considering the MVMCP. Any advice on strategy to see/ do most of the activities, and is it really worth the extra cost? I'll have a 6 and 7 year old with me. Thanks

I heard it's a must do at least once - so we're going to give it a shot :)

What week are you going? Are you going the week of Christmas or New Years?

We did it last December. I do think it's worth doing once. We wouldn't do it again, unless our daughter was older and had specific characters she wanted to meet. She was 3.5 when we went. Contrary to most advice, we did the early parade. I saved our spots at 5pm and got one of the last remaining spots on Main Street. If your kids can stay up late, do the second parade. We watched the fireworks in New Fantasyland instead of fighting the crowds in front of the castle. Kenny the Pirate does a great write up on strategies for meeting characters. That wasn't a priority for us, although if we had to do it again, we'd meet the princesses with their princes. Our 3.5 year old ended up making it until midnight since she took a super late nap, so we could've done the late parade. We were able to ride lots of rides after the first parade. I would take it easy that day, and get to MK at 4pm. Get something to eat. That's all I can think of right now!

We will actually be there in November. Looking at going November 17, which I saw on one site that it was expected to be one of the "less crowded" nights.

Then I would absolutely do it. If someone were going around Christmas when they are doing the daily ops for the parade, shows, and fireworks...then it's not worth the money. Since you are going in November, I think it's totally worth it to see the special shows and fireworks. The parade is lengthy, but a lot of fun. And I think going then is a good way to kick off the holiday season and get in the spirit!!

! Do you recommend trying to meet the characters, see the shows/parade or is there really time to do it all, (or almost all..I'm sure they will have to prioritize some of the characters)

If you plan on seeing the second parade and don't plan on doing many (or any) attractions...which why would you if you are going to be there several days...you should have plenty of time for character meet and greets, the parade, the fireworks and at least Celebrate the Season (the holiday castle show). I would prioritize and try and see the speacialty characters that aren't out on a daily basis. People start lining up very early to meet Snow White and all 7 dwarves, so it's good to know who you would want to meet.

I'm sure it's probably overpriced for what you get, but we're doing it for the 4th time this year. We have fun and typically find it to be less busy especially after the fireworks. Probably a bit late for a 6 and 7 year old, though. Maybe it's just the season, but it somehow feels a bit more special.

This is the first time ever that we are thinking about doing it twice in one trip. This will be our fourth time, to me it is a not to be missed event. I hope you enjoy it.

We have done Disney at Christmas, but never done the party before, so very excited!!...planning on doing it this November trip...I know it won't be "as crowded" during the week we are going, but do you recommend a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday?? We will be staying late to watch the 2nd parade...I have a 15 year old and 5 year old...but will be sleeping in the next morning...so no prob. there.

My sweetie and I are doing our first MVMCP this December (Dec 6th). Can't wait to have my picture taken with Santa Goofy!!!
