Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2006

We have a choice of 14th - 22nd December and have decided on 19th as this is the first night we check into the Contemporary

Bummer it ends on the 22nd. Thats the day we arrive so we will have no choice but to make it on the 22nd. It will be a very long day fo us but we just can't miss it. It is something we both are looking forward to doing.

Don't understand here. Text says:

"There are eleven dates to choose from starting with November 30th".

Calendar has 13, 17, 27, 28 November and then 14 more after that.

Have I missed something?

There's a mistake somewhere and I think it's those dates before Thanksgiving. We'll know soon enough.

We'll be there too! Only with these dates listed I'm not sure when..Probably...Nov 28th.
The tickets should be available soon I bought mine April 29th last year.

Does MVMCP take place rain or shine?

If you buy MVMCP tickets for a night and it is pouring rain, can your tickets be used a different night? I'd like to buy our tickets soon after they go on sale so they don't sell out for the night I want and I'd also like to get the better price.

It goes on rain or shine.

Some have reported success in getting their tickets exchanged for another night but they waited at Guest Services at MK before they left the party in the rain to get those new tickets. There are no guarantees but I'm sure Disney will work with you.

This will be our 1st time at Disney for Xmas and we plan to attend this event. Can you experts tell me HOW you purchase tickets? Is there a specific phone number, etc. or is it the dining number? Is it best to 1) make an ADR during the event (or will they even let you) or 2) wing food or 3) eat ahead of time? Lastly, it looks as if most of you agree that tickets will be available soon....will Disney announce the on-sale date beforehand, or do they just put them on sale and people go for it? OOPS! I lied, one more question!!!...are there specific discounts for Disney Visa or passholders, etc. that you are aware of?

Thanks again, guys!
Jeanette

You can expect tickets to go on sale by the end of April or first of May Last year they where on Sale April 30th. As for dining that is really up to you. I prefer either to make a ADR at one of the couple places inside the park providing you can get an early seating. Otherwise eat at one of the Hotels I prefer Kona's at Poly or Concourse at CR just make it early so you can get to MK intime for the Party. Last year I did LT for the first time and it was AWSOME. Food was OK not greatest but OK.

Some CM might say May 1 and some will say they don't know. Last year people just called Disney everyday and someone posted here when they went on sale.

You call the regular Disney number.

Last year AP holders had a discount on select nights.

party: Just excited about the post. Makes the trip seem a little closer! I am an old married woman, I will take excitement where ever I find it! ;)

I would recommend either an ADR for LTT for around 5 or so (which you can make when you get your tickets, although you might need to press the CM to find the option on his/her computer screen that allows this) -- we did this last year -- or eating a CS meal by about 5:00. Only LTT and Tony's were open during last year's party, and only Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bills were open for CS during the party (and those get crowded, which is why I would not recommend winging it). Because we feel we've "done" LTT (tried it, had fun, but ultimately didn't think it was worth doing again) we're going to have an early dinner at CHH (they will close down at 6, when the park officially closes to other guests) and then have dessert (if we're hungry) during the party. last year we were so full from dinner that we didn't bother with the free cocoa or cookies....

Restaurants open during party in 2005:

MAIN STREET, U.S.A.

Casey's Corner - Hot Dogs & Fries.
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor - Ice Cream.
Main Street Bakery - Fresh Baked Goodies
Tony's Town Square Restaurant

FRONTIERLAND

Pecos Bill's Cafe - Cheeseburgers & Hot Dogs
Westward Ho - Quick Bites
Frontierland Turkey Leg

LIBERTY SQUARE
Liberty Tavern - Family Style Character Dining
Sleepy Hollow - Quick Bites
Liberty Square Hot Dog

FANTASYLAND
Mrs. Pott's Cupboard - Ice Cream

TOMORROWLAND

Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe - Cheeseburgers & Chicken
The Lunching Pad at Rockettower Plaza - Quick Bites

Thanks for the info! Cannot wait :) Can you post the "regular" Disney number to purchase tickets from, please? I use the dining and the room reservations numbers all of the time, but am not aware of which to use for buying tickets? Also, can I get some clarification.....you can make an ADR for that evening when purchasing tickets even when it is more than 180 days out? Thanks again!

The main number you call to make resort reservations, 1-407-W-Disney is the number you'd call.

Last year, when ADRs could be made at 90 days, when party tickets went on sale they would let you book LTT and Tony's at the same time you purchased tickets but NOT Crystal Palace, the Castle or the Plaza; you still need to call at the regular time for them.

This year, hopefully, they'll do the same.

Are these dates official or are they just guesses based on last year? I can't find any WDW official announcements.... :confused3

That said, we're looking at either the 11th or 12th!

I found this information a couple days ago. I tried to buy them yesterday for Dec. 19th. The CM put me on hold and then came back and said that she could not sell them yet. I asked her when to call back and she wasn't sure.
