Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

Silly question :teeth: What kind of cookies do they have? Do they offer any sugar-free?Thanks :earsboy:

I heard they are sugar cookies.... which I guess answers your next question too.

I might be going - YEAH!!!!
My DH agreed for me to go down and have a Father/Daughter weekend before Christmas with my dad (So I can help him Christmas SHop) --- He said we can afford me going down - that would mean MNSSHP & MVMCP in the same year! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most likely it will be the first weekend of December. YEAH!!!!

I can't wait!

Hugs
Laura

Thanks to those who responded about getting into the MK early. I had actually thought about parking at a resort, so it's good to know in advance in wouldn't work. I've always wanted to walk over from the Contemporary, but I guess a party night isn't the right time.

Here's yet another question!

I made an Advanced Dining Reservation for LTT for 6:20. It was the earliest time available. Will that late a res interfere with enjoying MVMCP to the fullest?

Wow-- glad I called when I did. At the 90-day mark, there will likely be a few cancellations, so I would try to move your time up then. Or you can book the Castle or Crystal Palace at the 90-day mark. Or you can book Tony's now.

Funny..... your party is almost identical to ours-- me, DW, DD5, DS2 and my mom.

Can your little ones last very long? We're hoping ours make it through the fireworks. With a 6:50 PS, you probably won't get a great spot for the first parade (if that matters to you).

Well, that's good to know! I gues I can try later on an see if they have any times that are sooner. Maybe I could try and make it for like 4:00?
We've only been to Disney once, but we stayed up for as much as we could. My dd took naps and all while we still stayed around. I'm more worried about the candlelight processional. I'm not sure the kids will want to sit through it all.

Well, we're going the 18th through the 24th (leaving early in the morning) of December. I just got tickets for MVMCP on the 20th. I'm definitely excited! Thanks for all the great info on here! I'm not going to read all 70 pages, but the first 5 were helpful.

Can you add me for the Dec 20th please? WAAHOO!!

Okay, now that I've read some more posts, I have some questions. I saw the link to the MVMCP 04 brochure (Thanks so much by the way, it was great!) and was kind of blown away at all the special events. So, if you had to choose the top 3-4 of all those "Things to do," what would they be? For instance, I know I want to see the parade, the fireworks, and Mickey's 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. We're also going to do the photo and free treats (Disney and free very rarely belong in the same sentence! ;) ) But am I missing anything or what else is a "Don't miss" attraction?

Thanks so much! I normally never have questions about Disney (I've been there a lot), but this is my first MVMCP, so I'm definitely lost!

We bought MVMCP tickets for 12/1 with the AP discount. Well, we've decided not to buy an AP and go with the AAA discount instead (for our room portion). Do I call Ticketing Services and change it now (so they'll mail them to me), or do I pay the extra $$ when I pick them up at Guest Relations?

Thanks!

You might want to see it snow down Mainstreet during the Parade and at closing down Mainstreet after midnight. On December 1st, a bunch of DISers and Mousefesters are going to meet at the Fantasyland Cinderella's Golden Carousel at 11:30 P.M. to ride and pretend like we are kids again.

Then we were going to watch the "Celebrate The Season" show in front of Cinderella's Castle.

But then we were also going to wait at the castle after the show and let everyone crowd Mainstreet as they go home. We were going to soak up the Magical atmosphere of the castle. And as the crowd thins out, walk down Mainstreet, and enjoy the snow while looking at the exit toward the tall Christmas Tree and backwards saying goodbye to the castle as it changes color.

I'm sure everyone else can give you more ideas.

Sincerely, Ray

Hello, I have booked to dine at Tonys for 6.30pm (only time I could get). Is this too late to enjoy the festivities. Not sure now whether to not bother and just eat on the run. Any advice please?

It's not too bad. Dinner will take about an hour or so so you might finish just in time for the first parade, if you want to see the first one.

It's up to you. Good luck deciding.

I am planning a trip on Dec 14-24. If I buy tickets to MVMCP in August when I buy my tickets, will there still be at least one night open to go?? When is the best day to go if I have these vacation dates? Thanks!

I don't really understand your question. WDW sold you AP MVMCP tickets without having an AP? I know that people have made AP resort reservations before buying AP's, knowing that they would have to show the AP card, sometimes, when they checked in.

Actually, I thought WDW could tell if you had an AP on their computer.

O.K...I am confusing myself now.

If they sold you MVMCP tickets and they are going to mail them, I don't think that they check your AP at the gate when you use your MVMCP ticket.

I really don't know if the MVMCP ticket is refundable, but I have had them exchange the ticket for another day when I was at WDW.

Maybe someone else can give you a less than confusing answer.

Sincerely, Ray

When do they usually tell the list of guest narrators for CP?

I can't remember the exact time, but it should be close now. At least by August, if not by the end of July.

Maybe someone else can give you a more precise answer.

I can't wait to hear who will be the CP guests during my visit, too.

Sincerely, Ray

I was planning purchasing an AP for the saving, and now I've changed my mind because with the new program there might not be any discounts by the time I get my AP. But, when I ordered my tickets for the Christmas party I was planning on having one. So, I asked for the AP discount. She then asked me if I wanted my tickets mailed to me, and I did. So, I now have tickets that I paid a reduced amount for. However, I am not going to get the AP. I think that when we get to WDW I will talk with someone at City Hall at Magic Kingdom about it. They always seem to be the best informed. When I called to make reservations I had to educate the lady about the Christmas party. I like to be honest, but not so much that I want to take the time to call back and try to explain the whole thing. I will just take care of it when we get there.

The only time that I know that MVMCP have sold out has been on a Friday. Probably because the locals go on that day.

I like going on a weekday, or maybe a Sunday.

There should be tickets available.

I wonder if the new AP MVMCP days will make the particular days more crowded?

No, they will sell you an AP ticket and you get it "Will Call" at Guest Relations and must show your AP (this is for people who do not yet have AP's). Well, we are not getting AP's, so no discount. I know I will need to pay more for the tickets. My question is should I call now, pay the difference for the "regular" tickets, and then ask them to mail them to me, or just wait until we get to Guest Relations and pay the difference there?

Where would you eat before MVMCP? I am not that interested in LTT (but have a 6pm PS) in case we can't get anything else. Has anyone eaten at CP or CM before? Is it better to eat in the park or does it matter?
