Hi Guys,

Can you help me clear something up please.

We are intending to go to one of the MVMCP evenings that are being held during 4 days during our first week at Disney.

How does it work exactly? I know it's only on from 7pm to midnight.

Do they shut the park and then only allow ticket holders in, if so, how do they get everyone out that hasn't got a ticket, I mean, if you're hiding in the toilets do they check?

If you're already in the park and you have a ticket for the evening too how do they know?

I guess we're lucky that we have a length of stay pass and only have to pay the extra for the MVMCP.!!!

Kind regards

Hi there,

I believe what happens is that they give all the people with tickets to MVMCP a special wristband and "herd" them into an area of the park (Tomorrowland) and clear the park of everyone else.

I guess those who are devious could hide in the toilets (LOL) but in theory the CMs would chuck them out later if they had no wristband.

Which night are you planning to go? We have tickets for December 14th and are really looking forward to it :)

Hi Karen,

Thanks very much for your help. It all makes sense now!!

We were thinking of going on the night of the 12th. We arrive on the 11th and I thought it would be a good idea to spend the next day just wandering around and relaxing and then to do the MVMCP in the evening, a nice introduction to Magic Kingdom!

How long are you there for? We check out on the 1st January and then fly to Washington DC for 3 nights before heading home.

Take care, and thanks once again.

Kind regards

PJ (Paula-Jane) :wave2:

Hi there, We did MVMCP last December and had a great time - wrap up warm as it gets very cold late at night. We had hat, scafs, gloves, lots of layers and were still cold.

As regards tickets, we arrived at the Park at about 5pm on 19th Dec, entered using our MVMCP tickets and were given wrist bands. Inside we met up with our friends who had come across from a day at Epcot who had no wrist bands. The only time the wrist bands were checked was if you wanted to take advantage of the free hot chocolate and cookies or the free family photo (the queues for this were very long so do it early).

Our friends did have their own MVMCP tickets but were never asked to exit and re-enter the park at any stage.

Hi PJ

We arrive on Dec 9th and are there until Jan 1st when we fly home (we are off to the Gulf coast for Christmas week though)

Just a thought - but if you arrive on 11th you might find on 12th you are still on UK time (ie wake up early and want to go to bed earlyish) so it may be a struggle to stay up till gone (US) midnight? But you may find you cope fine with this, everyone's different.

Where are you staying? It's getting very close now isn't it!!!

Karen :)

Hi Karen,

We are staying at All Star Movies too!!

We actually leave Scotland on Saturday 11th at 8.00am, fly to Heathrow, leave 2 hours later and fly to Washington DC, leave 2 hours later and then land in Orlando at 7.45pm (12.45am UK time).

We will be so tired so I was thinking that we would probably sleep in late for being so tired and then spend the day relaxing, that's why I thought I may do the evening but I might just have to re-think that one!

Anyways, thanks for all your help.

Kind regards

Fancy that PJ, hopefully we may see you around at the Movies then! Have you been before?

Everyone is different but a lot of people find they do wake up early on the first day.

What are your plan for Christmas Day?? It's magical isn't it knowing Christmas will be at Disney :) :)

I am also staying at ASMo and doing MVMCP on 14th. Considering whether I should also get tickets for 12th to make sure I don't miss anything? Have you been before?

The park closes to non MVMCP guests at 5.00pm or 6.00pm, but they do allow guests who have MVMCP tickets in at 4.00pm - or they did last year!! You are provided with a wristband and we went in at around 4.30pmish.

After going on a ride or two, we decided we would head for the first show of Mickey's Night Before Christmas at the Galaxy Palace Theater - they checked EVERYONE for wristbands before they could go through to the seating.

The wristband system is just like they use for E-nights and the CMs are well-versed in noting whether guests are wearing them or not.

We did not use up a day on our hoppers but for the price each of the MCVMP ticket, we were able to go on most of the rides without a wait, enjoy Main Street with the 'snow' and decs ..... and for me it was just worth it for that!!! - it looked SO pretty and the atmosphere was wonderful!! - plus have a GREAT spot for Wishes without too big a crowd, AND see the parade twice (the toy soldiers are very impressive!)

I booked an early date in our stay as I knew the previous year it had really rained on one or two of the MVMCP evenings , and the guests had been given the option of coming to another MVMCP.

We have tickets for the 7th - the whole MVMCP experience sounds amazing !

WDWfan, uk

Did you just turn up at MK early and try your luck with the MVMCP tickets or was it actual WDW policy to allow entry from 4:00pm - it will be great if we can access MK a couple of hours earlier as this will be our only visit to the park on this trip.
