We are going to DLR on 11/11/09, we have the package that came with passes to Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness. I want to hear from those of you who have done it, is it worth it? I mean, do you get some good time with the characters for photos without waiting in huge lines, or is it just as crowded? I would like to do it if I get good photo opps, but if its not that great I'm worried I would just be wasting my time when I could be using that first hour to visit other rides before they get too crowded too. I love meeting characters but I love the characters too. Advice is much appreciated!

If you can be towards the front of the rope drop and get back to Toontown fast then it might be worth it. We were towards the front and made good time to Toontown. Once in we saw Goofy, Pluto, and Minnie all with only 1-2 kids in front of us. The "show" starts at 20 min after the hour of opening so you could have a few minutes before the show for character time. However, the show was a big disappointment and the character line ups after the show (especially for Mickey & Minnie's houses) were crazy. We left and came back later in the day (we had already met Minnie and knew Mickey was at his house almost all day). Many of the characters are at the main entrance (beginning of Main St) at the beginning of the day. I specifically bought a package to get this perk and I was very disappointed. You can watch the show on youtube and get the idea of what it is like. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info! I think i read somewhere that you also get some kind of pin for going? Is that true, and is the pin given before or after the show?

You get a button/pin after the show. A CM has a basket and kind of moves around up front to hand them out - many people went to her to get their button/pin and didn't wait for her to come to them, then they moved on to meet the characters.

I enjoyed it and we went during Busy spring break this year. It was a great way to get quality time with the characters. :) the show was cute. Actually after the show we wandered around a bit got our buttons and I think if I recall correctly left to go enjoy the rest of the park :) I remember people did start lining up for the rides/mickeys house and since we had already met Mickey we didn't go through his house for anymore pictures.

We love it. Before the show the characters are out and so you get to take picture. My neice had a great run in with Goofy, he lead her around toontown looking for Dale because she did not have his signature. It was really near.
The show is fun. We hang out to the side and when the show is over we move quickly to Micky's house and wait for him to come. We are always first in line. You get to meet Mickey right in the enterance to the house which is neat and then we take our time walking through the house. We get our buttons afterwards, see some of the other characters and then move on. If you want to meet characters in a short period of time I highly recommend it!

We did this a couple years ago and it was kinda lame. I don't know what the show consists of now but when we saw it, there was this very small & short show in Toon Town. We did not get any character interaction at all. And the pin they gave out was a button that said Mickey's Toon Town Morning Madness. (it's not the kind of pin used for pin trading, but the big round like 3 inch button kind)

I'm sorry I don't have more details for you. It didn't impress us at all and we felt we had wasted other "park time" by doing this.

Probably the only good thing was that we immediately went over to Mickey & Minnie's house for pictures. Other than that, I'd never do it again.
