We were there the same night. I chalk this up to bad planning on Disney's part.
I am glad to that the OP had a great time.
DD and I had fun but we were disappointed in the Trick or Treating the night we went. I see trick or treating as one of the main reasons to go - especially since they call it Mickey's Trick or Treat Party!

It would be nice if they could have the parties be consistent.
