I understand that in the Judge's Tent at Mickey's Toontown, one can have a photo opp with ::MickeyMo himself.

Tha planning boards on the DIS website does not make it clear to me as to whether there is a Disney photographer inside the Judge's Tent, with her/her camera who would take an official photo, for which it can be picked up later in the day (At Guest Services)?

At the end of the day, the person who had his/her picture taken with Mickey would pay $$ to pick it up, with a very unique frame with Walt Disney World on the sides of it. One would pick it up there at Guest Services, right?

If that is so, from my experience inside Mickey's House at Disneyland Park in California back on Feb. 2000, there was always a sign with that stood next to the park goer and Mickey himself, i.e.: 02 07 2000, take 998, Director: Donald Duck (and so on).

The sign would indicate the date, "the take number", and the director, as I mentioned above. (Poor Donald).

I bought a frame from the same Main Street store (either that or it was Guest Relations, next to a shop that brewed signature hot coffee, like a Starbucks) to go with the picture in it.

Is there a similar type of sign at the Judges' Tent in Mickey's Toontown, to indicate the date that the photo was taken by a DIsney photographer, and when not using your own camera?

These are the kind of pictures one would pick up at Guest Relations (?) in the Magic kingdom, probably on Main Street.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

Thanks.

I know that there is an official phoographer inside the judges tent, who takes your picture which you can pick up from guest relations but I'm not so sure about the take number or director bit- I'll bump this up for you. :D

There is an "official" photographer in the Judge's Tent. He/she will take your picture and then hand you a little slip of paper with a number on it. Later in the day, you take the number to Expo Hall (on Main Street, to the right if you're facing the castle) and they will pull up your picture on the computer, fix it up, and print it in different sizes (starting at about $12).
Hope this helps!

Thank you all for your help. I hope to have ::MickeyMo sign one for me, too, before I leave Disney World.

Additionally (that is, besides the official portrait taken by a Disney photographer for the $$), I also plan to use my camera, too. The more the merrier.

I haven't had my picture taken with Mickey in the Judge's Tent but if I have had it done at MGM with Sorcerer Mickey. When I went to check out the picture, they had added a small graphic at the bottom of the photo which was Mickey's signature... It said Your Pal, Mickey.

I did have my picture taken with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore (three separate pictures) in the Judge's Tent and there was nothing to indicate that it was taken by a Disney photographer. In that case, I thought the pictures from my camera looked better so I decided not to buy those.

I think I would have to agree with you on that one because now most cameras, especially the 35mm (point and shoot, or whatever) would show the month, date, and year the photo was taken.

It now seems that my chances for a good photo shoot (with his signature) with Mickey may come from the MGM Studios park.

So maybe it would be best to use MY camera at the Judges'Tent at MK, for now anyway. But I still will want to have him sign a 5 x 7 (or 8 x 10) from my camera before I leave Disney World altogether.

I hope that someone from the Disney staff is taking notice of this just to improve based on what we say.

Your information is pretty valuable. Although I would probably not hesitate to ask the people at the Town Hall Expo Center about the features on the photo, and the frame, too.

One other thing I wanted to add ... I always ask the Disney photographers to take a picture with my camera as well. We had one picture taken in front of the castle at MK and when we went to pick up the pictures, they said they couldn't find them even though we were coming three hours after the pickup time. I was so glad that we at least had our backup :)

Having your own camera is smart, and I hope everybody does that as insurance.

I also have a digital camera, but I don't think I will use that to have any photos developed at Disney World, since the chip can contain 205 images.

I just don't have the software on my laptop to do it with, although I could install the program, and to be sure that I have the right cables to upload the photos from the chip.

:umbrella: (it's raining here in San Diego)

We saw Socerer Mickey in the building that's in between the Backlot Tour entrance and Who Wants To Be a Millionaire. The lineup can get really long sometimes but we were lucky and went on a rainy day so there was only one other family in front of us :)

You can also find other characters at other locations around the park ... I know you can see Toy Story characters by Al's Toy Barn and Monster Inc characters across from the ABC Commissary. I'm not sure if they have Disney photographers at those locations though.

:umbrella: It's raining in Toronto too but it's probably lots warmer in San Diego :)
