Mickey's Surf's Up Breakfast and then Disneyland - Parking?

Hello all,
I tried searching the forums but couldn't find info on my question. Next week, we will be in California and plan to do a day or two at DL. We will not be staying in the area. We are considering the character breakfast at PCH since my boys love Mickey. Logistically, what is the best thing to do in terms of parking. Can we park at the hotel and then walk to the Disneyland for the day or will we need to move the car? Is it close enough to walk? Are we better off parking at DL and then walking to the hotel for breakfast? As you can see, I'm pretty clueless, so any information would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!!!

You can't park at the hotel unless you want a huge parking bill. You get validation eating at PCH for 3 hours. After that, it is $17 for the first paid hour and then $9 an hour after that.
You are better off just parking at M&F parking lot. pay the $17. Then walk to PPH Straight down Disneyland Drive. After you are finished, cross the street and cut through the GCH lobby and follow the DTD signs. Once in DTD, head to the right to get through security to the esplanade and the parks main gates.

Agree with the pp. Then at the end of the day, you can take the tram to M&F.
