Mickey's Soundsational Parade questions

We're arriving on may 17 and would like to watch the 4 pm (early) parade. I understand this starts at 4 pm in Fantasyland and then works its way down Main Street.

Touringplans recommends watching this from the Main Street train station. Is this good advice? They also say that the parade will take about 20 minutes to get there and last about 25 minutes, meaning the ending at Main Street should be around 4:45 pm. Does this sound about right?

The reason I ask is that we have a Fantasmic dinner at Blue Bayou booked for 5:50 and I'm trying to gauge how much time we'll have between the end of the parade and the ADR.

The Main Street Train station is a popular location to watch the parade. You'd have to get there early to stake out that spot, especially on a Sunday. I would guess your timing is pretty good and you should have plenty of time to make your reservation. Keep in mind the parade isn't running the rest of the week, so anyone visiting that week who wants to see it will be trying to view it on Sunday.

Do they still do the Frozen Pre-parade? If so then the Parading starts at around ten minutes before, with the Frozen float, then Soundsational follows about 10 minutes behind that.

I've also liked watching it closer to IaSW so that we were towards the beginning of the parade route. That may also be another option for you and to not feel rushed with the dinner package.
