Mickey's PhilharMagic Gift Shop?

There should be a DIS Forum strictly about WDW SHOPPING!

Is there a gift shop as you exit the show? If so, do they sell items related to music with a Disney style? My DH is a music teacher AND a WDW fanatic, so a gift shop with both of these things mixed together would be splendid for him! If there is one, and someone has been in it, could you please tell me what kind of items are sold there?

Yes! There is a Mickey's Philharmagic store as you exit the show. However, I am not sure I noticed anything "music" related other than shirts with music symbols and instruments on them, etc. They do sell Disney CD's here though. If I'm wrong please someone correct me, but I don't think there was anything other than the typical stuff.

I was hoping they would have some of the posters for sale they had on display as you enter Philharmagic.... no such luck I did notice they had a couple of Sorcerer Mickey and more Donald Duck items for sale there.

I've been there only once, and I do recall some exclusive plush items with the Philharmagic theme.

You might find something for your DH at DTD at the book store(I can't remember the name). That shop also has a good selection of Disney music cds. Also, Virgin Megastore has a great selection of books on Disney that might include some music related topics.

You will also witness a HUGE Imagineering error of a magnitude that is unimaginable for Disney. That is....you do not have to go through the gift shop to get out. In fact, you have to make a deliberate right turn to go into it. Someone in merchandizing wasn't thinking with that design.

It is the very first thing I noticed and the most memorable of the trip. I didn't have to go through the gift shop. Who knew??

LOL about the fact that you actually DON'T have to go through the gift shop to exit! But we'll be sure not to miss stopping in for a quick look around! I was afraid that it would just be the "usual" items sold everywhere else in WDW, but thought I'd ask! Last year as part of our Fairytale Package, our free gift was a nicely framed picture of Donald looking angry and jumping on a music staff. This was perfect for my husband, and it is now hanging in our hallway. The CM told us it was valued at $80, and we later saw it at Art of Disney and she was right.

I was hoping they would be selling more things of that nature, but guess not.

Plouto14 - you might also check the gift shop as you exit Rock 'n Roller Coaster at MGM. I know we purchased pencils there for our kids music teachers in the shape of the treble clef and a music note. Just a thought!
