MIckeys Philarmagic needs an update...

Disney please give one of my favorite attractions an update the 3D is very old, and dated it needs an update desperately.

Anyone else in agreement? I want the attraction to stay but just want it updated.

To me updating 3D models in a film doesn't seem that difficult to do

Considering that this is NOT a headliner, I doubt it will happen. As for difficult to do, no, I don't suppose it is difficult. Just expensive. Essentially you want them to produce a new 12 minute long 3D animated movie. Figure the production costs of scripting, story boarding, scoring, drawing, music tracks, sound tracks, visual effects, sound effects, post production......NOT cheap. This is Disney were talking about. They aren't going to pry open their hermetically sealed wallets for something like that unless the Philharmagic theaters is empty. Heck, they won't even update Country Bears into something visitors would want to see.

What's old and dated about it? It features classic Disney movies.

Do you want to update the technology or the content? It would presumably be cheaper to re-do the projection than to re-do the story/content, but that depends on how the source material is stored.

I don't think either is a priority and I suspect most guests are satisfied with the quality of the 3D. You're probably going to be disappointed on this one.

I can't sit thru Shrek at USO without thinking about Mickey's Philharmagic and thinking the same as you - that it really needs some freshening up.

I just think the animation and modeling of characters in 2003 should receive an update if not every 10 years to keep it fresh interesting and up to date with technology.

the world could be more immersive or interesting with a fresh coat of paint. I want the movie to essentially to remain the same but the character models and backgrounds to be given a refresh.

Maybe stick one or two more Disney movies in it as well...? I'd like maybe Hercules and everyone's favorite Frozen! *hides

What I would like is for them to redo/update the attraction and include more classic movies and have different sequences (such as Star Tours) so that it could be a different experience each time.

I absolutely love it! I saw it for the first time in December, and we ended up seeing it 5 or 6 times that trip because I just couldn't get enough!
