Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

I am looking for any advice or tips for getting the most out of and/or making MNSSHP the most enjoyable it can be. We are taking our daughter (who will be about 6 weeks shy of her fifth birthday) for her first trip to WDW in October and have purchased tickets for the Halloween party. But as someone who has never been to any of the seasonal parties previously I am just curious if anyone has any tips or advice on things to do or not to do or any special "don't miss" places or things.

We are going in October too to MNSSH for the first time. We went to the Very Merry Christmas and it was great. I've heard from others that MNSSH is even better. Enjoy!!

We went last year for MNSSHP and it was our first time. The lines for almost all the rides we're minimal to none i think the longest we waited for rides was Spacemountain and that was only 15 min. so go on as many rides as possible. We did some trick or treating however thats where you run into the lines, they were fairly quick but very crowded. My family and i gave up on candy after 3 stops just cause of the lines. We also camped our spot for HallowWishes DO NOT miss this!! it was worth the wait, after we headed for Frontierland to wait for the second parade and got there pretty early. While waiting though we got handed some freebies and candy, also the CadaverDans were out and about and to here them sing is so awesome. The parade was great then after that we rode rides until they kicked us out. on the way out CM's were handing out more candy so since my family is 2 adults and a 4 yr old at the time we had more than enough candy!! Overall we had a blast and would definitly go again. Oh and don't forget your photopass, soooo many places for that to be used plus Cinderellas carriage is near the Haunted Mansion!! Again though you will run into crowds there. Hope this helps a little
