Mickeys not so scary halloween party

Okay we leave Friday for our first trip to WDW. We want to go to MNSSHP on 10/10, but the forcast says rain. Do I go ahead and buy tickets or wait till closer to the day. 150.00 is a lot to spend and get rained on the whole time. I need help. DH says it doesn't matter to him, but I don't know what to do. HELP!

On weather.com it says 30% chance of rain and on accuweather.com it's showing partly cloudy. You have a couple of options

1) Wait until Thursday night before you leave ... check the weather again and see what the predicitions are .... buying before you leave you can pick the tickets up at Will Call, that way you can get the Advanced purchase price

2) Just wait until you get to Disney, check the weather, and if all is clear, buy the tickets

We went in Sept, to the first MNSSHP, and all week long the weather was 60% chance of rain. It drizzled 1 day for about 1/2 hour.

The day of the Halloween party, it was a 20% of rain. It started raining when we were on the bus and didn't stop for about 3 hours.

I had a sick child on my hands...nose started dripping and the sneezing started just as we were going to the party. It was not good.

I really wanted to enjoy myself and have a good time. Not so much. DH was aggrevated that it was raining and he was wet, I was soaked, DD(2) LOVED the trick or treating, that was about it.

It was just so disappointing. I really had high expectations and was throughly let down. Although, I have to say that the parade was great (even through the rain) and the fireworks were SPECTACULAR!

Hope I didn't rain on your parade. I just found that the rain really did not make for the best time.

We went while on our trip last week(Sept 29). When we get to the gate there was a sign up saying "Tonight's event is sold out" I was glad we purchased tickets before hand.

Accuweather now says no chance of rain for 10/10
