MIckey's Not So Scary Halloween Party stuff

Hi everyone, just got off the phone with WDW-DINE and purchased our MNSSHP tickets for 10/6 (the only AP discount day during our trip). I didn't know there were only certain days for AP discount UNTIL I had changed practically our entire 10 day dining reservation schedule! The CM I talked to, knew I was adjusting schedule around MNSSHP, but obviously didn't know about the certain days. So, for all you other AP holders that may not know (probably just me and the CM I was talking to) there are only certain days the AP discount is good.

Here are some questions, I just want to double check. You DO NOT? need a park ticket just the MNSSHP ticket to get into event right? Reason I ask, we don't have the park hopper option on one ticket, so was making sure we could hit another park during the morning. I have read that you only need the MNSSHP ticket, but am a little weary after my encounter with cm

Also, do most adults wear costumes also, or just kids? I want to dress up but just wanted to make sure I didn't embarass my kids as the only adults in costume

Also, what other "neat" things go on during MNSSHP? We are looking forward to our first party, cannot wait!! The CM told us we would get exchange vouchers in the mail. Is this correct? Should say something to Disney that I trust the DIS'ers more than I trust the CM's. I know they are working hard, and I give them credit, but it makes it hard on me to have to verify everything I'm told

Ummm...I hope not I ordered our AP discounted tix in April and all they told me was that I needed to pick them up at the will-call window. The CM gave me a ticket# and that was it. Our CC was already charged and we haven't received anything in the mail for MNSSHP. Now I'm a little worried.

I too was told that I would to first show my AP at will call along with the confirmation number. I think I will remember to bring our cc reciept just it case however!

For us this will be our first party as well, so I don't want to give you any misinformation. I will say that I believe all you need is your MNSSHP ticket to get into the party, but double check. Here on the board there is a sticky thread all about the party, great information in there ! I've heard alot of adults were costumes which is really cool, except I for the life of me cannot think of anything for myself or my BF that would be cheap and cool enough. We have one costume/novelty shop that I know of that I plan on visiting real soon. Otherwise I'll have to sew my own, and I really doubt that is gonna happen .

If you called & ordered them as a mail order, you will have the voucher mailed to you. If you ordered as a will call (which is what I did), they give you a confirmation number & that is what you give them at any guest service theme park window along with your ID & AP pass. You can pick up your tix 24 hours after ordering (or up until the day of the event). I called when I was up there in June waited my 24 hour & then picked up my tix. If you ordered over the internet web site (which is what I did for my MVMCP last week), depending on the selection you made, is how you will get them...again, mail order will be mailed or will call can be picked up at any guest service theme park window. May be picked up anytime after 24 hours from order being placed. You are instructed to print out the confirmation slip (that has your confirmation number on it), bring that, your ID & AP to pick up your tix. Hope this helps...

As far as only certian days for discount, the CM I spoke to was well informed of the dates & gave me my choices. When ordering on the net, it states it as well.
No, you do not need a regular pass to get into either of the party's. Only the special event ticket, so don't worry about not having a hopper. As far dressing up, you will not be the only adult, many do. Don't be worried about embarrasing your kids (besides even if you did... I consider that pay-back time ) When you are at the party, remember to do your "trick-or-treating" & take your complimentary pic. They don't really advertise it, but you can get one pic per ticket!!! It must be the same pose though. Relax & have a great time... I will be there for MNSSHP on 10/2 & MVMCP on 12/1 ... I can't wait
