Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party~~October 30

DD and I will be going on the 30th and are first timers. We probably won't wear a costume unless you count a tourist tee shirt and a WDW hat. What do we need to know?

MLAinVA - DSs (9 and ) will probably wear some type of costume but I'm with you - I think DW and I will wear Disney t-shirts and shorts (hopefully) and carry cameras and go as Disney tourists...

My family will be there the 30th. Me, DH, DD's 14 & 15, DS 4.

DH and I will be there on the 30th for our first MNSSHP. I plan to arrive between 4:30 and 5:00 and hope we can get in. We don't plan on going to any of the parks earlier that day. Not sure if we will be in costume yet or not.

I bought my ticket for this (for the 30th) on July 31st- my birthday... cause that's when I found out I AM going on this solo trip.. kinda like a birthday present and kinda like DH couldn't say no after I'd just relented and he'd finally got the Harley he's been wanting for years. LOL

So I'll be there!!
I'm going as a Disney fanatic (ahem, tourist) also. I'm sure I'll just be wearing regular clothes but they'll have Disney characters on them I'm sure! LOL And disney backpack... etc. LOL

So many of us are going on this night- are we going to try to meet up or anything?

I need help figuring out what to do. It seems like most people make reservations to eat somewhere that is NOT going to be closed for that hour when they change to this special event... is that the thing to do? If so, where? I'll need to know so I can make reservations- but also to check their menu to see if it's compatible with my low-carb lifestyle now. :)

THANKS for any help you can give me! I hope we plan a get together atleast for a minute or two since so many of us are going- or hope I see some of you there that night! I'm excited... I'm a night owl and so I do NOT like having to leave with early closings (to me even 9pm is early.... 7 is excruciatingly early LOL)

I'll be on this solo trip 10/23-10/31 (coming back midday so I can still celebrate Halloween with my kiddos and DH can go back to work that night- I'm just going on his days off) Hope to see lots of you there! :)

We'll be there in costume. I'm going as Aurora (blue dress - of course) if I can fit into it! (Help me Dr. Atkins!)

<SIZE=3>I just bought our tickets for the 30th yesterday. There will be 7 of us. DH and I are going as Donald and Daisy.(can't believe he agreed to this!) Not sure what DD, DSIL, and the 3 grandkids are going as yet. This is our second time and as I recall about 90% of the party goers are in costume. We had a blast last time! Loved going in the Haunted Mansion that night.</SIZE=3>

I am envious of your costumes...I saw those on the DS catalog and they are adorable. My DH would never agree to dressing up like that!! He's always sooo hot it would never work and he'd never put on that suit!! It would be a miracle (LOL!). The kids will dress up but we'll probably just get some themed t-shirts I will look for you guys...can't wait to see all the costumes!

<SIZE=3>Tazz.....DH,(Brer_Papa) says...."If it walks like a Duck, talks like a Duck, looks like a Duck......It must be Brer_Papa dressed up for Halloween. He went as The Big Bad Wolf last time and had alot of fun. Wasn't too hot to enjoy the evenings festivities. We can't wait!</SIZE>

I'm going! My DD is coming with me. She wants to be Alice. I am going to be the Ace of Spades.

Myself, my father and my 2 1/2 year old daughter will be there on the 30th also! Now if I can talk my dad into a costume...:smooth: hmmm.

My family and I will be at this years WDW's MNSSHP. It will be my daughter's (3 yrs old) first trip to WDW and she is very excited.

Are there any suggestions on how to tour the MK during this celebration?

My 3yr old will probably be either Belle, Jasmine, or Cinderella. My husband and I thought about getting shirts made that said "Disney Princess Security Staff". What do you think?

LOL!! I think that is a riot! I like it! :)

We also have a 3yo who will be one of the princesses. She just can't decide which one! She changes her mind everyday!!!! So we have not bought the costume yet. DH and I don't know what we are going to be yet. I was thinking the king and queen of whatever princess she chooses.

DD (age 21) and I will be there on the 30th and going to Universals horror nights on the 31st. this is an annual mom/daughter event for us that we have done for the past 4 yrs and we always have a ball. For anyone thinking about going to Universals party, beware because it is very scarey! Linda

We are there on the 30th with 3 other families. We got ressies at ohanas for dinner at 5:10. After dinner we are off to NSSHP. I originally wanted to go to the party on the 31st but the others we are going with said that the 31st was really crowed last year. Now I'm glad-- cause the campfire @ FW sounds great!!! :bounce:

After weeks of debate/discussion, I finally suggested a costume my 10yo ds liked:

RON STOPPABLE :teeth:

He's so excited, especially because he'll be able to wear the "costume" to school anytime he wants. Plus, he's been wanting a stuffed Rufus, LOL!

We'll be there, dressed as Mickey, Minnie, Minnie, and Minnie.

I laugh cause they will be my 'Minnie' Harem. ;)

So if anyone sees a big Mickey and 3 Minnies, say hi!
