So I have heard about the ten dollar store at DTD....what do they sell there? $10 and under sounds great, unless it is all just junk, that is. Has anyone been there?

Alot of it is the stuff you see in the parks and at the resorts. It is not marked down just normally priced 9.99 and under. But they also have "grab bags" for 6.99 (I think) and they often have a wall of things 4 for $10. You never know what will be in that sale. But you HAVE to buy 4 to get the $10.00 price. I have bought a stich hat, small stuffed animal, pirate hat, and notebook thing all for 10 bucks!

We didn't find it to be anything special. It just seems to have a bunch of items you can buy in other stores that are $10 and under. It just puts them all in one store. I could see it coming in handy, though, if you wanted to have a store with all lower prices so you could tell the kids to pick whatever they want without having to say "No, that costs too much $" every 10 seconds.

The One in DTD does offer mark downs, but to me, there's a very eclectic and aged selection--nothing that I couldn't walk away from. The one in the New York City street of MGM has no mark downs, only items that retail around the parks for under $10. I think you get better "buys" by looking at the clearance racks in the stores. There's always something for "sale". DTD huge World of Disney store is wonderful for that, especially in the clothing racks!

My DD wanted Disney Bear last year and we found him there for $10. That was about half of what they were charging at Epcot for the same thing. It was 1st quality too.

i've found it to be very hit or miss. I think the best deals I bought there were a baseball cap that was regularly $20 something for about $2, and a scrapbooking set that was part of a 4 for $10 deal, that I think was normally about $15. Lately though, it seems like they just have the less expensive items available, so it's no great deal.

beware the grab bags are hit or miss my nephew got one and it was girl stuff great value of stuff inside if you are a girl not if you are a boy
