Mickey's Magical Fireworks and Bonfire - timing

Hi,

I just spoke to the restaurants reservation line for my trip 4-7 Nov. A couple of interesting points to pass on:

1) I queried what time I should book for dinner on 5 Nov because of the fireworks. The lady on the reservation line said the Mickey's fireworks would start at 19:30 so I shouldn't make dinner reservations before 20:30.

2) I asked about being able to go for breakfast at DLH (I read differing views on this forum). The lady said that they do take patrons for breakfast but it depends on their capacity, she said you could not book but you could 'present yourself'. As I am a solo traveller, she said she thought it unlikely they would turn me away...so may be worth a try.

Restuarants I booked were:

- Bistrot Chez Remy for Lunch and Hunter's Grill for Dinner (5 Nov)
- Agrabah Cafe for Lunch (6 Nov)
- Walts for Lunch (7 Nov)

I thought this may be helpful as I know Walts is often not open everyday, so may be useful to some for planning.

I find it weird that you've been told that Bonfire starts at 19:30.
Not that I don't believe you! I just think you've been told the wrong time.

For many years now it has always started around 20:30/20:45.
And Dreams finishes at 19:30.

A lot of people then hop over to Lake Disney for Bonfire.
Seems a bit weird that it starts at the exact same time as Dreams finishes.
Can't imagine they're not gonna put some time in between for people to hop over.

I know, right?! I pushed her on the point of start times for the bonfire and fireworks because I have been looking at threads and past times and I thought it would be at about 20:30, but she insisted it would be starting at 19:30. In fairness, she did say she would check the system to double check the times, after that I had no reason to doubt her. Very frustrating if it is wrong, cause I made my dinner reservation at 21:00

Not sure if you're from the UK? And if so, did you ring the UK line?
If the answer is yes they might have given you the UK time.
And 19:30 UK is 20:30 Paris time.

Not sure if it makes any sense haha, just trying to find a different scenario.

No I called the french restaurant reservation number (I probably wouldn't have cared much about the 15 minutes hold time if it'd been a UK number lol ), the women I spoke to was very french, her accent was lovely. The way she said 'present yourself' when talking about breakfast arrangements made me smile, she was quite sweet. Sorry to disappoint.

I can see from a discussion on tripadvisor that in 2012 there was a potential clash between dreams and fireworks, not sure what came of that?! - was anyone on the forum there that year that could shed some light?

For this year, at least for now, I think it's a case of watch this space

The official Disneyland Paris add says that it starts at 20:30.
Just like I thought, you were given the wrong information.
