new to the boards but has anyone ever attended Mickey's holloween party? Is it worth it to buy the extra tickets for that night and end up with a bag full of candy from my three children or just skip the whole idea? just wondering.....
It is definitely worth it to buy the extra tickets for that night. Not sure how you end up with a bag full of candy from your children?? My daughter usually keeps the candy she collects for herself.. Most of the kids get all dressed up for the night. They spookify the entire MK. They lower the lights and light Main Street in all Halloween colors. The castle changes all different colors. There are character meets set up all around the park. All the characters are dressed up in different costumes. The kids get to trick or treat around the park. All the rides are open. They have a special Halloween parade. with all the costumed characters. They have DJs set up through out the park. My daughter got to dance with Goofy and Buzz Lightyear two years ago in Tomorrowland at the DJ dance floor setup in Cosmic Ray's. Every family gets to have a family portrait taken with the photo then sent to your home. We had a great time on our trip two years ago and can't wait to go again this upcoming year.
We went last year (October 17th), stayed at AKL. It was fun. The busses were packed on the way there. Everyone was trying to get to MK at 7PM exactly! The bus driver was nice, but frazzled. The poor bus drivers had to empty the park, then refill it with MNSSHP guests. The entry was chaos - people pushing and shoving for candy in two pumpkins near the train station. We headed to the back of the park - things were much saner there. We had our picture taken, rode rides. Tomorrowland had a show going - Chip and Dale dancing in the street. There were candy stations set up everywhere. Pay attention, usually there were two lines - one with tons of people and another with no waiting. We left around 10PM, both kids were too tired to go on. I'd definitely go again.
